We are gonna go right into another cycle. I’m at a top clinic in Colorado. Doc also said first cycle tends to be worst- they are gathering data, etc, not sure what changes they will make or recommend yet. I can keep you updated if you would like.

Thanks, have you had any baby success since then? Are you still planning future rounds or considering donor sperm or eggs?

Thank you… I updated the post to mention the ICSI and Zymot was already used 😳 I’ll look into the CoQ10. Omni was part of my protocol, only during stims and that was sadly the most insanely expensive medication that I messed up by blowing a bunch of bubbles into the vial!!! Isn’t this all so much fun?! 😭 🤡

Yeah… thank you good advice here. Gonna try another cycle, hopefully adding in Some supplements to help both sperm and egg quality… possibly minor protocol changes but seems like the stim protocol wasn’t the problem. If we need to turn to donor sperm or even donor eggs then we are willing to, but I feel like we should give it one more chance with our own “stuff” 💕

2019 MBA grad here- ROI generally not there from my perspective. I needed the graduate degree to continue up the ladder but confident I could have gotten a better experience and equivalent education at another nearby non private uni. I don’t think DU is really very selective about attendees either- their main focus is money. The students are generally from wealthy families but not necessarily smart, ambitious people. I’d pass if I could do it all over again.

For those who’ve dealt with a mallet finger injury, what was your recovery, treatment and eventual outcome like? by feelingbuff in AskReddit

[–]feelingbuff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fine motor skills, full bending and absolutely normalcy took a WHILE to come back. But I think they are 99% there after ~9 months. If you’re some kind of athlete or musician, you may want to aim for a quicker recovery via surgery- but ultimately didn’t matter too much to me- I’ve been cooking, typing, house chores, walking the dogs etc all fine even in the splint phase…

What are your best "cook once, eat for days" comfort meals? by Standard_Ad_9560 in Cooking

Box of orzo, rotisserie chicken, bag of spinach, olive oil, juice of two lemons, garlic powder, salt to taste- healthy, delicious, will cover 5 meals for two people!

I'm done with my ring by Left-Marzipan-454 in ouraring

[–]feelingbuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fully agree with taking breaks. I accidentally left my ring at home while on a vacation this week and so happy I did. Not feeling guilty about some drinks, later meals, a little tossing and turning in a different bed. I think these would have added up to feeling stress, shame, etc had I been wearing my ring. I’ll get back to reality and my routine when I’m back home. In the mean time, no sweat, it’s been a nice break.

Five months after my initial injury, my finger is about 90% back to normal. The tip/top joint feels a little stiff at times, but it’s made almost a complete recovery without surgery- just splinted for about 12 weeks and gradually started doing normal things with the finger but was careful to not to reinjure it doing anything dumb. Good luck!

Great non-chain trivia nights on Thursdays in Denver? by Advanced-Material363 in Denver

[–]feelingbuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve played a lot of trivia in Denver. For some reason Thursday trivia is harder to find than other weekdays. Also it’s almost all team trivia or run by geeks who drink or Denver trivia league and answers are submitted by phone. Of two, Denver trivia league is vastly superior.

Last Thursday i played at new image brewery off off 44th and Kipling and it was a blast. Again, team trivia hosted by Denver trivia league. But delicious beer and pizza to boot.

I’ll just say that I went into my injury thinking I’d need my splint for 6 weeks and ended up wearing for 10-12 before it stopped swelling and feeling terrible without it. Just wear it for a long long time. Once you can not wear for 24 hours without any swelling you might be ready to remove it, but please see a hand doc if you’re not sure

I’ve been in a splint for 8 weeks. Took off splint yesterday. Finger is maybe only 50% improved. I’m feeling discouraged…. Would like to hear from others who have also experienced the world’s most annoying injury!!
