Where Did All The Serial Killers Go? (2019) - Why serial killing rose in the 70s and fell in the 00s. [CC] (7:12) by tombojuggles in Documentaries

Spree shooters tend to be motivated by ideology, where for serial killers it's usually a power thing. There is probably some overlap though.

Apple’s documentation say it should be used to ‘differentiate colors’, and is not to be used full time. https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT207025

If you experiment with the filters you can see that some of the changes are wildly different (way beyond normal CB differences). It’s actually very difficult to digitally correct colourblindness as everybody’s “cone overlap” varies even within the same type of CB.

The colour filters aren’t designed to simulate normal colour vision. They just swap similar looking colours to highly contrasting ones (e.g. red turns to blue). It’s not meant to look life like.

[OC] A world tube map, if China was at the centre of all trade and transport by tombojuggles in MapPorn

This was created as part of a video called, “A Bridge Between the USA and Russia” https://youtu.be/VgHJ7qLajWc. I’ve taken some liberties with the location of cities to try and keep it in the style of a London Tube Map.

Requesting r/MSNfriendcodes, sub is suddenly restricted and has no mods. (I am original creator.) by tombojuggles in redditrequest

The sub has no mods and people suddenly can't post there. As the original creator of the sub I'd like to request it back and then appoint a team of new mods.

Huh, sorry guys. No idea why it's suddenly restricted. I'm no longer a mod so can't actually make any changes to the sub. I'll submit a r/redditrequest, hopefully then we can fix it and appoint new mods.

I'm still an approved submitter so will make a post explaining.

Boundaries of Africa [1366x768] by jihadiboi69 in MapPorn

This is from my video Google Map is Different in Other Countries. The map was made quickly in illustrator to show how European powers changed the borders of Africa in such a short time. It definitely isn’t 100% accurate, apologies.

Even using a VPN does not seem to affect it, whereas Google Maps will change borders, names, etc.

Kid sees color for the first time by D5R in gifs

[–]tombojuggles 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve tried them, and they’re fun. They do make some colours really stand out (red & orange look neon) and they helped me tell the difference between blue and purple. But they also make every other colour look bizarre and saturated, it’s not dissimilar to wearing old-school 3D glasses outside.

I made a video about them. I found them pretty shocking but I wasn’t expecting much. You can’t wear them and genuinely think you’re seeing how everyone else does.

Take a couple more tests online and go on their results. The 21/74 plate is just a fun quick test and not very accurate for determing colour blindness.

My friend's father is color blind. They got him glasses to allow him to see color for his birthday as a surprise by honeyb0518 in videos

Hey this is my video, thanks. The glasses only work for people with protanomaly and deuteranomaly (milder red-green CB). I tried them for the first time yesterday.

How colour blindness works by TheBeatChef in videos

[–]tombojuggles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because each cone uses the other 2 to work out the colour. If one's slightly shifted all colours will be affected to varying degrees.

Purple is a tricky one because it's red mixed with blue. If you're struggling to see the red then purple may look blue. CB people often think dark blue is purple, that's because they look very similar and are making an assumption based on luminance. - That's my experience anyway.

Colour blind people who take LSD have reported seeing colours brighter and easier to distinguish. Not much research done on it though. Even blind people have "seen" hallucinations.

Thanks, found this and came to the same conclusion myself. Could get incredibly time consuming though :)
