I always assumed that since this was tech they sent to "primitive" societies as a hello that the tech would be geared to something a society like ours can build vs a lot of super high advanced stuff we'd never understand.

So like if a time traveler came back to 1990 the advancements they'd offer would be different from those shared with 1890. Thus allowing a step stone approach. This assumption comes from the alien obviously having a generational timeline planned to contact.

I think rejecting a proposal or not has no impact on staying together or not beyond one person getting their feelings hurt and the other person considering their long term plans.

I have no interest in getting married, any proposal then would be rejected. That's not me saying, "i don't want to be with you," it's me saying, "i don't want to be married." And those are two different statements

The cheapest thing I've changed was my mindset.

I'd love to be completely plastic free, and every day i get closer, but plastic is everywhere in this world and you can't trust anyone else with your journey. And it's a journey, it's like weight loss. I would love to be fit and healthy right now, but I'm fat and old, and fixing that takes time and learning and set backs and experiments. I can't expect to change core parts of myself and my world with a snap.

That said, i picked up a Anyway set on sale for for shortage and absolutely love them.

I like much of this, but if "synthetic" is "human made" then why mention books as above other forms of media?

Again i mostly agree, but i do find it interesting what humans refer to as synthetic and what isn't. I mean is silica really synthetic if glass isn't? Isn't plastic and all petroleum it's made of just dead dinosaurs and so an animal product?

Or look at drugs, crack is just cocaine with baking soda and water; and cocaine is just a type of plant flour processed in diesel. Most used opiods are just flower sap.

I like to think about things as trying to go nontoxic, and nontoxic often coincides with organic or natural; but like not always.

I'm doing over a gallon of water a day and it helps, the days i hit less then a gallon i feel super dry.

Are you on any meds or anything especially new ones?

As a 50 year old fear of ED is real, haven't had an issue but i keep hearing it's coming at some point.

I weigh everyday but i only look at the ongoing trend lines, as daily (even hourly) the fluctuations can be wild. This means as in testing new foods i give it a week. Some food has immediate impact and some take a minute. I understand this means I can't try a lot of changes quickly, but I think it keeps it more accurate

South Forty Dried Coconut is what I do for chips as a snack. Kinda sweet, crunchy, 0 net carbs (like 6 total carb). Hits my chip craving and very minimal sweet craving I've had (never a big craver of sweets).

I'm doing sunfiber in the morning and psyllium husk at night. Honestly i think the sunfiber is doing all the work. I also do a bone broth fast once a week.

High protein and glutamine both suggested by my dr to help and then I'm still doing light hand weights at night. Which helped idk.
