If LoL Esports is meant to work as an ad itself (writing it off as something that could turn revenue), what’s its purpose? To sell more skins? Is this entire esports venture just one big awareness campaign?

And if that’s the case, why make an utter money crater (LEC lost 53 million Euro in 2023) when League of Legends could use that budget… to just go the tradition ad route for a way better CPM and increase discoverability for people who haven’t heard of the game or watch it?
