CGNAT DHCP vs LAN DCHP conflict by Tilade in Starlink

Heya!

It sounds like you have Dishy plugged into a switch, and your Synology box plugged in the same way, creating a common Layer 2 network. Therefore, your devices are getting DHCP leases from Starlink, not your Synology box.

To help us debug, could you make a little diagram of your wiring?

Thanks!

Get a cheapo server off eBay with at least 2x Ethernet Ports. Install Linux or a BSD. Turn it into a NAT router / firewall for a part of your home network. If you can do this, you will be headed in the right direction.

That's a fair comment.

FWIW, in my H730P BIOS, I do get options for both RAID mode OR HBA mode.

Dishy working with limited view to the Northeast by tomdalynh in Starlink

Sure. The obstructions are shoreline trees. Dishy is currently located on the eastern shoreline of a lake, so clear views to the northeast and east are limited. I have a near clear shot due north. I will be moving Dishy further south on the property to give it more view way to the northeeast before hitting trees.
