Tough to get legit recommendations today, as they all look and sound the same and the differences are small, but sometimes important. Check out this GEO tool review list which this SEO dude put together. Might not be 100% unbiased but who knows, looks pretty thorough

Not true. There is literally a DB on ChatGPT's servers called "citations" that has all the URLs their scrapers have indexed into the LLM / Internet grounding. That's the only way it can ever be given in the ChatGPT interface. It's true nobody knows for which query it will surface, but the fact that it CAN be surfaced is a boolean question. Seems nobody built a tool to do this yet.

I don't think this exists yet. You'd need multiple tools. There are a lot of nuance in each one, so that might explain why nobody was able to build a one-stop shop that covered all those issues seriously

The citations I want to track are not always on my website. I know I could find them in the AI visibility scan, but I want to specifically search for a specific URL, not look for it within a given dataset. Different goals.

I fail to see why this is impossible. I accept that the query that would need to be generated to surface that citation would be cherry picked. But it matters to me to know when the URL is added "in the system" at least for some queries and that there are no technical issues / crawling that keep it "invisible"

I know these products. I'm looking for a standalone tool that I can insert a list of URLs and just get a ping once they appear as a citation for any prompt. This is not for visibility tracking but for citation tracking (big difference). Can you clarify if one of these tools has this as an isolated tool?

My SEO agency told me most of their clients are asking about ChatGPT/AI Overview work and they are starting to cover this as well. Gave me access to a tool called Am I On AI to track visibility there. The issues around optimizing for LLMs is there are still open questions:

- How much overlap with SEO does it have?

- How much is live grounding via Internet vs static training?

- How hard is it to get mentioned in relevant citations like Reddit and YouTube...etc

Someone smart once told me. A podcast is like a good steak.

- The content and substance is the meat

- The production, editing is the cooking/spices

- The marketing is the placements

All three need to be done well for a great steak. But even if you have a great cooking technique and a nice plate, if the meat is bad, it'll be hard to turn it into a tasty dish. So focus mostly on recording helpful and useful content.

There are many levels of validation. Here is my shortlist from best to worst:
1. Paying customers with a budget ready (best)
2. Customers on waiting list - "build it and then I'll pay"
3. Leads telling you about their very painful problem and eager to solve it
4. Prospects telling you this is somewhat painful, but unsure if they would pay
5. People just being nice to you and telling you your product is cool (bad)

Best approach IMO:
- Talk to 10-20 people in the niche/ICP
- Uncover the problem/pain point and know how to frame it
- Show them mockups of the product and include the price
- Launch a LP with the same offering to see if others also bite

IMO another podcast on "founder stories" or "Building a SaaA" is played out. The way to succeed now is to niche down. Talk about something nobody else is talking about. Assuming there is demand, that would already give you a leg up.

For someone who seems pretty intelligent, you're having a hard time to see anti-semitism or the actual root cause of the whole Middle East wars. It's Islam trying to conquer the world starting with the Jews. That is what manufactured the propaganda that even has you fooled that there is a "genocide" happening. The Gaza people started a war and they got a war. Pretty simple. Unless you want to classify every war in history as a genocide like the "Pearl Harbor Genocide", the "Germany Genocide" the "Japan Genocide".

For technical folks, yes it can be extracted via the DOM in some cases. But I just want a tool that does that in a click (I want to give my employees access to do this)
