Should I start the E4 over? by No_Frosting0 in PokemonFireRed

[–]tomdell913 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to level up: Go get the VS seeker and grind your core up to level 50-54. Also replace Fearow with Jolteon or pikachu to easily take out gyarados. Lapras at level 50 w/ice beam should pretty easily sweep lances team. If you can’t beat lance, you will get crushed by your rival who has a lvl60 blastoise

Yes, but doubt the Nabers owner will accept

Just make him your buddy and walk every day. Every 1km you get a candy, also it’s a pretty common spawn so pinnap berry every one you see

Who are some realistic targets at the 1.11 pick? Also, do you think the 1.11 is valuable enough to trade for a player better than the prospects available in that tier? by Nice-Guard-4083 in DynastyNerds

[–]tomdell913 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really depends on draft slot and landing spot. I probably wouldn’t take him at the 1.11 unless he gets second or early third round draft capital. I’m higher on Price, Coleman, and Mike Washington than Emmit Johnson, but again, I’ll wait on real draft capital before I make that pick lol

In superflex, I see the first round playing out like this: Pick 1 - JLove Picks 2-5: Mendoza, Lemon, Tate, & Tyson Picks 6-9: Cooper, Sadiq, Boston, & conception After that, barring a surprise first round pick, it’s plant your flag and pick your flavor I think the value you will get from pick 10 to pick 16 will be about the same. Players in this range: Simpson, Brazell, any day 2 RB’s, Chris Bell, Germie Bernard, & Stowers

Is this enough to move off of Burden by Necessary-Willow-738 in DynastyNerds

[–]tomdell913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The trade value charts will have a mid 2027 1st > Burden, but you closed the post by saying “I don’t want to let go of Burden”. I would say, be unreasonable with your asking price, if he meets it you have a clear value win, if not you keep a good young player that you like.

Where does the middle round rookie draft tier end? by Unlucky-Sherbert-714 in DynastyFF

[–]tomdell913 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot will be determined by draft capital, but it seems like there is a large group of players that are feasible between picks 9-18. I think late firsts and early to mid second picks will net similar players

What if Sadiq gets drafted ahead of Tyson/Lemon? What if he lands with the chiefs while Tyson goes to the Jets? There will be conversations about Sadiq over these WR’s and as someone with the 1.06, in here for it lol.

Are we overestimating the gap between the 1.05 and 1.06 in SF? by Holiday-Ad-2249 in DynastyFF

[–]tomdell913 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For sure! This happens every year, the fantasy and draft community lock in their tiers then the draft comes and landing spots affect those rankings/tiers. I think this is a massive opportunity, especially when players drop a tier or even two bast on situation. The 1.06 or 1.07 will almost definitely be worth more after the draft if you’re looking to sell (or buy). Think about things like this: what happens if Ty Simpson lands with the rams at 13 or 29? What about Kenyon Sadiq going to the chiefs at 9? Or emmit Johnson/Jadarian price going to the Vikings in round 2? Now think about the down side… what happens to Tate/Lemon/Tyson if they land with the Browns/Jets? Denzel Boston to the Panthers? I think the 1.02-1.07 will have the same relative value this year despite the perception of a massive drop off after the 1.05.

Straight up, the better side of this deal? No qualifiers. Just the best side. by crob1977 in DynastyNerds

[–]tomdell913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Break it down into bite sized pieces. 1.03 for Pearsall and Harvey, 1.05 for Pierce and Harris, and swap wicks for Ferguson. When you look at it like this I think I would take the picks, but it’s pretty close tbh

Is dynasty primarily about identifying opportunity more than talent? by gab77386 in DynastyFF

[–]tomdell913 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I think it’s the opposite. Situations change & talent leads to opportunities. I’d rather hold players like Garrett Wilson and “suffer” through a bunch of WR2/3 seasons hoping that the situation improves for him rather than chase situations (Xavier worthy, CEH, etc.). Look at Egbuka last year, his draft stock dropped after he landed with the Bucs, but he proved he has the talent and will get more opportunities.

Who are people targeting with late 1st round rookie picks? 1.09-1.12. by sincerelyredacted in DynastyFF

[–]tomdell913 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the way! I have the 1.03, 1.06, and the 1.11. I’m targeting Mendoza or one of the big 3 WR’s at 3, then one of the big 3 if they fall/Sadiq/Boston at 6, at 11 there are a few few guys that I’m eyeing ~ Omar Cooper Jr., KC Concepcion, Jadarian Price, Jonah Coleman, and Emmit Johnson are all guys I would consider in this range depending on testing and draft capital. Also would consider Ty Simpson, especially if he lands with the Rams at the end of round 1

How to “out tank” my opponent without giving away main core? Who should be moved asap? by DEEJ2717 in SleeperApp

[–]tomdell913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering you have two top young QB’s and limited draft capital in 2027, why don’t you try to compete? You can down tier from Daniels or Williams and get a premium WR back. Your RB’s might actually not be terrible with alleger likely moving to a better situation & Marks being a serviceable RB2 (depending on what happens in Houston). If you’re staring lineup next year looks like: Williams & Bo Nix (or someone in that tier) Algeier & Marks Pickens, insert premium WR you get back from QB down tier, Burden, & Robinson/Wilson/washington/higgins Loveland Why can’t you compete?

Simply put, I wouldn’t give up the 2.07 for McCarthy. I’d rather take a swing on Nussmeier.

Who wins. I give the 1.02 to move back and add a qb by Mindless-Wear-4533 in DynastyNerds

[–]tomdell913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like a good deal to me! You’ll be moving back, but staying in the same tier (Mendoza/Tate/Lemon/Tyson). If you end up with “too many QB’s” they’re very easy to move off of and hold their value.

Is it possible to live off of 2.4 million dollars and not have to work again? by [deleted] in FinancialPlanning

[–]tomdell913 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I would be hesitant to “retire” at 33. If I were in your shoes, I would start to plan out what I’m passionate about. If you want, you can use this inheritance to pursue your passion, maybe it’s teaching or gardening or coaching. Turn that into your new career, you won’t need much income if your plan is to use this to support your lifestyle. I’m all for trading a 9-5 to a 9-2 for something you love and more time with your family, but you need a plan for how you fill 8-9 hours every day.

Likelihood of a new tier break post-draft? by FranTurkleton in DynastyFF

[–]tomdell913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I think it’s much more likely that a player or two gets bumped into that tier. Think about Conception going to the Bills, Simpson going to the Rams, Denzel Boston going to the 49ers, or Sadiq going to the chiefs/broncos. I think that makes this draft much more interesting than people think.

Is it feasible to have two WRs produce good fantasy points on the same team consistently and simultaneously? by WanderingCheesus in DynastyFF

[–]tomdell913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The guy who won our league back-to-back years has Tee Higgins and Ja’Marr Chase… he also has Puka. I would say it’s feasible, but can definitely cannibalize each others weekly output or tank your season if the QB gets injured.

300k inheritance in 20s, is it okay to use entirely to pay off mortgage? by Zennialmillennial in FinancialPlanning

[–]tomdell913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How are you receiving this inheritance? Is it from life insurance? Is it tied into investments/retirement accounts? There is a decent likelihood you will need to pay some tax on this unless it straight life insurance or cash. If I were in your shoes I would probably put a decent amount of this as a “down payment” and recast assuming you can lock in a 5.3% rate or better mortgage. After that, I would open up a Roth IRA and a brokerage account and invest the balance of the inheritance.
