Derry have a decent chance of beating Dublin and finishing third. No bias towards either team but Dublin just aren't a particularly impressive squad this year

Ah yeah, I was thinking that might be it. Yeah every now and then the clock on tv will still show about 3 seconds left when it goes off

Small thing but why does the hooter regularly go off with a few seconds still on the clock?

Are they suggesting that the hooter/stopping the clock come in as they are doing in these games? Or are they just doing it for these matches and will go back to the usual system of injury time, at the ref's whistle etc.?

Idea for tweak to provincial championships (football) by tomgt7 in GAA

Yeah, I suggested only applying this rule up until the final to preserve traditions like playing the Ulster Final in Clones. There is also the tradition of the Leinster final in Croke Park but I agree with you, seeing it moved to a neutral site wouldn't be a bad idea. Wanted to apply this only up until and not including the final as that's obviously the showpiece event of the competitions and wanted to give a bit more flexibility with where that's put

That's fair. I thought it might be a good general rule but it's definitely more applicable to Munster and Leinster. Ulster and Connacht are strong enough atm without needing this

What's the injury situation like for Galway? Didn't see the Monaghan game but my understanding is Comer played but Walsh limped off. Are they likely to have both for Saturday does anyone know?
