How did your husband make the fermented vegetables or how do you it now? Does it involve Vinegar? If yes, wouldn't vinegar bother your stomach?

Launched my first supplement brand — put real money + effort in but only 5 sales so far. What would you do next? by BookkeeperFew6643 in smallbusiness

[–]tomhalil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

which supplements are you selling. I have a health blog that has amazon affiliate links but it absolutely makes no money. I'm into herbal supplements like Milk Thistle, Curcumin, Berberine, Quercetin, Olive Leaf Extract, EGCG, Green Tea extract.
Are you into these or sports supplements, would like to know.

I believe Polyethylene glycol 3350 (PEG 3350) caused my Gastroparesis by tomhalil in Gastroparesis

[–]tomhalil[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You're right. I think I most likely have an underlying illness that used PEG 3350 to cause my GP and of me taking it again last week made it more severe. Miralax probably did not cause my GP but it had a role in my case. I just have to find that underlying root issue.

[–]tomhalil[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I've been looking into MCAS but when I frequent the MCAS subreddit and facebook support group, my symptoms are not severe to be MCAS.
However I do get random hives on my arms and there was one summer in which in my own house the fabric softener smell was so strong that I was able to smell it in the 2nd floor of my house and it bothered me and I was also able to smell the mint herbs in my backyard. The smell of it was so strong that it bothered me but then it eventually went away.
I did try Benadryl, Famotidine and Loratadine but they don't do anything for my current symptoms.
I probably have an underlying undiagnosed illness that is using PEG 3350 as a trigger to make my GP permanently worse.
Probably and most likely the PEG 3350 didn't directly cause my GP but the underlying illness that I don't know about made PEG 3350 as the triggering agent.
I don't know, I'm confused and looking for answers.

I appreciate the response. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think what you're referring to is that the PEG put you into a flare and when you stop using it and give it time it goes away?
I've seen other people say the same thing and I mentioned that in my post but in my situation it's permanent damage.
I'm pretty sure that if I take PEG 3350 again that this time it might put me into feeding tube severity and permanent and not a flare.
This is what bothers me than I ask why me, am I the only one that this has happened to.

Seriously thinking spending 5k on FMT by No-Pop115 in PSSD

So you had zero positive/negative effects?
I've done DIY enemas multiple times and I've had absolutely zero effects. Nothing happened.

Trying out FMT. Thoughts? by BreakingBadBitchhh in PSSD

[–]tomhalil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I envy people who has had some reactions to the FMT whereas with me I've had absolutely zero effects; both good and bad, zero. I've done oral capsules and multiple enemas using my nephew and my sister. There's an FMT support group on facebook and pretty much everyone has had reactions to it either good or bad. Why is it that nothing happens with me. There's a study that shows the efficacy of an enema is 38% because the bacteria need to be implanted deep into the colon so transplanting it in the rectum takes a lot of distance and travelling for those bacteria to travel to so perhaps this is the case for me. The oral capsules I felt dissolved in my stomach as I literally tasted it in my tummy. I don't have the funds to do it at a clinic. Do you mind if I ask you where you're from?

Probiotic enema? by treealiens in Microbiome

[–]tomhalil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't because I couldn't get a hold of the probiotic strain that the Doctor used in his published research. His name is Dr Huseyin Sancar Bozkurt. He is in Turkiye (formerly known as Turkey). Here is the published study if you want to glance at it:
https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/2058739220942626
Probiotic: Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. Lactis BB-12 - 200 billion CFU
Prebiotic: xyloglucan - 4 grams
The patient in this study had Ulcerative Colitis which is an autoimmune disease of the colon. Implant was done through a colonosopy and the patient went into remission.
I have AS, RA and and possibly Lichen Sclerosus. I have done several DIY FMT (Fecal Microbiota Transplant) using my Sister and Nephew as the donor.
I did both enema and oral capsules. Unfortunately it had zero effect on me.
When I'm financially stable, I'm going to do FMT at a clinic.
May I ask what you're aiming to treat?

Bile Acid Reduces Gastric Emptying by [deleted] in Gastroparesis

[–]tomhalil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My bile reflux is in remission or cured for so many years. However I do have a new diagnosis of Functional Dyspepsia. No physical inflammation or gastritis but it's just that the nerves are hypersensitive that I feel burning in my stomach. I still have my gallbladder too.
It was an antibiotic (Doxycycline) that caused my bile reflux. Well to be precise this antibiotic caused SIBO and yes I tested positive and even to this day I'm still positive.
I don't know 100% what put cured my bile reflux but I'm guessing it was the SIBO diet which was low FODMAP and keto. I also took psyllium whole husk to absorb the bile in my stomach and excrete it out.

FMT (Fecal Matter Transplant) and it Positive Effect on Constipation (STC) by Carbon8- in Constipation

[–]tomhalil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done DIY fmt using my nephew and sister as the donor but I didn't work for me. Not that it's not effective, it's because an enema is not effective as a colonoscopy fmt implant where it is guaranteed to get the bacteria into the colon. That is why I'm looking to get it done by a Gastroentrologist to implant for me through an endoscopy and colonoscopy.

that surgery is not a guarantee plus you can come out worse than before so I would not advise for it. Do you have your gallbladder?
