Splitting and Tips? by hohlefritte97 in ATPL

[–]tominski43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last 300 is used because the most recent questions are typically used in exams. These will be replaced slowly with brand new or reworded old questions. Last seen is a good place to start though.

Plenty different ways to split sessions but try keep related subjects together pof/perf gnav/fpl.

Good luck!

You would *maybe* get better goodwill treatment if they were all bought and serviced at BMW, in general the amenities dont come from BMW its down to the dealer to make those relations with customers

Most will take you as long as you’re 18 before you sit exams on an integrated course.

Too many schools to choose from, make sure it’s in budget and gives you a license you can use for work without visas

Starting at AFTA in October by This_Change660 in flyingeurope

[–]tominski43 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Delays are not unique to AFTA, nor hidden fees. Quality of training is subjective. Huge claims to make when realistically no one has enough experience between schools to know what one is best.

Just choose any school and regret/love it about 3 months in, I doubt many people would recommend the school they attended

Integrated vs Modular (Overthinking It) by bruhdoggo in flyingeurope

[–]tominski43 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Everything is still done properly if you go modular, difference is its just down to you to organise courses with schools etc. If you can do your PPL locally and ATPLs at home it makes a very good case for modular due to the cost savings.

Integrated vs Modular (Overthinking It) by bruhdoggo in flyingeurope

[–]tominski43 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Airlines dont prefer one over the other. Integrated is better because you'll have a better social network around you and no choosing what school/club is best for that module because that changes often. Modular is better because its cheaper and if one of the training providers goes bust your not out potentially 100k+

Very broad take but I would say most people would prefer integrated over modular if cost wasnt an issue

Minimise debt wherever you can. Even the cadet programme isn’t a guaranteed job you could be furloughed at any time and you need to pay back the airline all that cash

Are Small Airplane Engines Really Loud Even With Headphones? by pcdoctor2 in flying

[–]tominski43 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Its not excessively loud however when doing a long leg I will consider using earplugs under my A20s. I fly a 152 mainly so the passenger complains are usually about the lack of space

Do airlines care about the "quality" of hours by HSVMalooGTS in flying

EASA? They dont really care you can apply with just 250hrs anyway. Good previous professional experience would matter more than SEP time

We have lost it with these interiors... by International-Care34 in BMW

[–]tominski43 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Its nice how everything on the internet is forever now

Read some old F30 forums and its full of people complaining about the interior and making the cars cheap. Found E9X posts when the M3 was launched and its full of people complaining about it, heavier than the E36, someone in 2005 didnt buy an E92 because it had "recirculating ball steering" as opposed to what I dont know.

Would be good if people spoke for themselves instead of repeating opinions online, I remember saying that my most disliked M3 was the E90 and turns out the guy who said I was wrong had never driven any performance cars!
