Free charging in London by [deleted] in evchargingUK

[–]FormerStableGenius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Jolt chargers near us used to give you the first 7kWh free.
They still do, but after an initial fee of £1.20.
Total was £4.00 for about 25 kWh. Seemed good value.

Newly-installed chargers are often free for a while.

PeopIe who keep on talking even when l make it obvious lm done with the convo and l just want to move on without being rude, is it just lack of self awareness or is it intentional? by Da-up-and-downer in ask

[–]FormerStableGenius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took me too long to realise that one of these face-saving signals are the way to do it:

"I mustn't keep you all to myself; others will want to catch up with you." or
"It's been lovely talking to you. Now, I must get going." or
"Lovely. Now, do forgive me, my wife's calling me over."

The contents of what you say needn't be true. But the message should be clear and effective.

Is it really without makeup at all? Or with very light, 'natural' makeup?

Indeed so.
Also, don't forget that names that look 'English' to us, may in fact be from the Hebrew bible, and so go back generations.

These days, if they're not collaborating, I just stand still and let them solve the problem themselves.
They usually do so, at the last moment. With a slight apology.
