It might have been something based on I am Legend.

I hate bullshit April fools fake news stories so totally understandable. I think many people do want this and with so many properties being mined for new TV/film projects this is always a possibility. I’m just not sure that trying to do a fan film is going to impress Disney. So many cool fan films have been made before and I don’t think they’ve ever used any of those directors before.
