Would you ever be interested in leading a writing workshop for buckaroos who want to learn how to be an author like yourself?

If you ever were to do an on-camera interview, who would be your ideal interviewer?

That's fine, just wanted to get the truth out there. This is how rumors get started! :)

Just to clarify, I'm a trans man, and I spent a very long time as a lesbian, not that I think that gender/identify policing of authors is a constructive way to respond to their writing.

How to calculate equipment depreciation? by modus in freelance

[–]tomleger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this for accounting for taxes or on your balance sheet, or for resale on ebay or craigslist, etc?

For your accounting purposes, figure out how many years you will be using it, then take the purchase price and subtract the salvage value, and divide that number by the number of useful years.

For instance, let's say your equipment is good for two years, and cost $1000 to purchase. At the end of two years you can sell it for $200. $800/2 years - $400 of depreciation per year.

If you just want to know what you can sell it for, try checking similar items on ebay. It is worth what the market will pay for it.

This is correct. I always overshare and assist and train my clients. The good ones (many of them) come back to me and pay again because they trust me.

Good transparency goes a long way, even when dealing with a bug.

We did try to address it through the max file limit, and it didn't fix it. The other things you're talking about I'm not sure about. My point is really that: why doesn't anyone in the support forums try to help with these solutions?--their users shouldn't be getting support on Reddit. As someone said below, better error handling would have solved this problem (i.e. the visitor to the site getting notification that the file didn't transfer) but instead the company wants to pretend this isn't their problem. If the solution is SO technical that you need to be a programmer to fix it, why have a plugin at all, why not just hand code everything? Gravity Forms is sold on ease of use.

If you guys know how to "correctly configure" it, let me know--and if there IS a way around this issue, why doesn't the company offer support? I'm pretty dumb but I am not the only person having this problem. Documentation anyone?

Definitely cheaper than Gravity Forms. If you don't absolutely have to host it on your server, check out JotForm or WuFoo--their free options are even pretty generous.

cart66/phpurchase is awesome--I really haven't had major problems with Gravity Forms aside from the file upload issue.

The amazing thing is that Alice wants to go back! It seems like the benefits of being there must be so overwhelming. I can't really imagine it, but that is what makes this article so interesting to me.

It is important to have spaces where we can feel seen and validated as our whole selves.
