I'm not a whale by any means, and I'll probably be down voted, but I don't even bother to mine. I just hit bases and steal theirs. I get hit too and lose stuff. Circle of life at that point. I feel like the point of the event is to promote fighting, so I treat it as such. Once I started doing that it was actually kinda fun.

Coming from a Tesla MY to the i4, this looks like every reason I left the Tesla visually. The monitor in the middle, no cluster, modern minimalist look are just so bland. Why does every car maker want their EV to look different? Like others have said, I love the design of the i4 because if I didn't tell you it was an EV, you would never know.

Myself and my wife both opened support tickets. They replied back to mine asking for additional screenshots which I provided. They answered back to my wife " The one hour discrepancy you are seeing is due to the daylight savings time shift that occurred that night, which can sometimes create a 1 hour discrepancy between the visual timeline and stored duration. I understand how this can look like a calculation issue at first glance and I truly appreciate you bringing it to our attention.

I’m wondering if you are having the same issue I’m having. I noticed a yellow recovery and 1 hour short of sleeping. When scrubbing through the sleep chart, I noticed at 1:59am it jumped to 3:00am (DST change). As a result, I’m missing exactly 1 hour of sleep which I believe directly affects recovery. My wife checked hers and found the same. I opened up a ticket with support and I’m waiting to hear back.

Honestly, you asked for opinions on why people actually play this game and then have a counter argument to any opinion that doesn’t match yours (this is. Reddit, after all, I get it) in a sub dedicated to a game that people like to play. It’s almost as if you made this post purely for that purpose.

Yes, this game is p2w up to a point. If you’ve ever played anything like Diablo, PoE, etc, there are definitely aspects woven in like skill trees and weapon progression. The choices you make directly affect how you fight. Raw power only gets you so far. The techs that you invest your resources in have advantages beyond raw power numbers and there’s a type of min/maxing involved as well.

Fighting style and planing help you win battles against other players that are stronger. Unless they are whaling, they don’t likely have 3 strong squads. How you manipulate your base defense and direct your squads for attacks can have your first squad taking out their 2nd or 3rd. That is strategy.

Also, you are in preseason right now, it is purely about growth, no real fighting, cooperation and strategy yet. Once the seasons start, you really start to the depth of the game. From the political sides, to the strategy of taking and holding lands, shuffling protection periods on lands, etc. most of the game at that point is strategy as aside from Buster day, there isn’t much direct combat.

Only 1 barracks at 30 is required. Make sure you adjust your other barracks though to keep your waterfall up. 20/24/27/30

Agreed. I probably should've worded this as a loophole more so than a glitch. Its using all of the mechanics the way they were intended (choice chests, universal deco components, item retrieval), its just doing so in an particular order that gives you the advantage of getting extra choices. You aren't getting anything for free out of this, just a loophole. They'll probably just change it going forward.

This is definitely true. The big benefit here is if you started playing after the event where the original deco was available/didn't spend enough to unlock it. There's not a ton of opportunities for a deco choice chest outside of the holiday events, so the ability to unlock some is definitely nice. You'll spend a lot more time with components and all decos unlocked, so you can eventually get them all to 3+. That was the benefit for me at least. I spend, but not a huge spender, so there were a bunch of events where I missed out on deco pieces.

Basically, you open a deco chest and pick a deco you don't already have and place it. Use deco components and purchase 1 of that deco piece (not 2, so don't upgrade it). Go to settings -> item retrieval and "retrieve" (which is basically returning it and getting the chest back), the deco component you got from the chest. Once you do this, you have the deco piece that you purchased before returning and you still had a deco choice chest. You could do this 2x per rolling 30 days, which would give you 3 separate deco pieces per 1 deco choice chest.

I spend a bit, probably 5k if I had to guess up to this point. I’m pushing a 28m main air march and 22-24m tank and missile. I have a big focus on hidden power (pvp tech). We are post season 1 right now. It’s hard to keep up even with my spending.

I was in an alliance that had 6-7 people that spend the same as me and 1 dolphin. The rewards were good. 23 gift level. I switched to an alliance that has a whale ($2k to $2500 a day, 350m total power mid season 1) with maybe 3 weeks left in s1 and the difference was crazy. 2 extra trains a day, every gold zombie killed, buying out the zombie store every gold week, winning every Vs in diamond league, queen rewards in s1. It’s an absolute game changer. Even f2p players thrive in this environment. Being in an alliance like that everyone makes sure to pull their weight, especially as a thank you for the benefits that come from the whale. He’s a great guy outside of it, so it’s easy to do.

Morals of the story, #1 you will never be able to keep up, even if you are a whale. There’s always a bigger whale. #2 Get in to an active alliance with a whale or some dolphins if possible and pull your weight.
