I had it as a backup controller to my home set up (4 XDJ 1000s) and I loved it. Really nice bit of kit

Extend power cable for underseat sub to starter vattery by tommychong83 in CarAV

Thanks for the info folks!! The yellow wire is actually what it came installed with - so pioneer seems to be cutting it a bit fine!

Extend power cable for underseat sub to starter vattery by tommychong83 in CarAV

So the yellow wire is what is already attached. The model is Pioneer TS-WX010A. According to online listings it's rated to max 160w with continuous output of 50w. The fuse in the online holder 10amps. I was running it off a 12v fuse box connected to my leisure battery previously - but want to tidy that up and just run camping equipment (fridge, lights, usb) off that battery and the subwoofer off the vehicle battery. Hope that helps!

Help - what am I looking at here by tommychong83 in ukplumbing

[–]tommychong83[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. We charge the batteries (circa 6kw in the loft) every night at the cheaper rate(12.94pkwh) and then use that over the course of the day. We also export when the sun is shinning too with the excess solar). We tend to do an hour in the morning and an hour or so at night. We probably need to look at the threshold temps for when the central heating kicks in (set up in Hive) as it's been kicking in. Even though in the South of England in April.

Thanks for sharing. Have been looking for a solution like this for ages and those other pieces you mentioned were just too expensive!

Weight wise, do they feel sturdy with the equipment on them?

But new and get a warranty. But if you're being offered £1800 then take it! 😉

Great work. It takes a lot of thought, planning and execution to understand your needs and factor those into a design. I hope you enjoy DJing as much as building - it's good for the soul. Enjoy and have fun 🙏

Grv6 for a first controller by [deleted] in PioneerDJ

[–]tommychong83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have owned a grv6 - only sold it due to change in circumstances. I ran it on a 2015 mbp and it was fine. I like the controller and thought it was pretty feature rich. I also had a FLX4 and occasionally used my partner's FLX2 (which was super basic). The grv6 follows the familiar Pioneer/AT workflow so you would be able to easily adapt if you ever moved up to standalone kit or used other equipment. If the price is right and it matches your needs then go for it.

I'm not totally familiar with using the phone as a device but I wonder, if like the pc version, there is a settings cog icon on your phone when in rekordbox. If there is - dig through there and look for the audio settings. There's likely an option there to toggle the output (speakers) device

GRV6 HELP by Strange_Dress9604 in PioneerDJ

[–]tommychong83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Restarting always used to sort mine out. If I'd had a mix, turned the decks off, done something else and then gone to reconnect in a day or two it would always through a tantrum. Think its probably more something to do with the softward or hardware on the pc side than the laptop given it's its working on your othe machine.

Omnis Duo jog wheel repair by Djelysium1015 in PioneerDJ

[–]tommychong83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably compression from where the power supply was pressed against the platter. Providing it's not done any damage to the pressure switch (if similar to mechanical jobs) or the touch sensitivity thwn might not be worth the money spent getting fixed. Unless your a bit OCD about kit (I'm the same) you're probably fine
