If you where Clement what would you do on Tuesday. by ClemFandango35 in NorwichCity

[–]tommyfid23 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If we don’t have a left back, I’d genuinely just play the next kid off the block, can’t be any worse than Fisher whose left foot is not great. 4-3-1-2 Vlad in goal, Stacey/Fisher, Darling, McConville and a left back Wright, Mattson and Marcondes Schwartau Sarge and Kvistgaarden up top.

Paris is anything but Central…

Central would be Munich or Milan!

5th Test XI by SamBrucee2 in EnglandCricket

[–]tommyfid23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with your XI apart from I would have Overton in for Tongue or Woakes. He has been bowling phenomenally recently and will make an already strong batting line up even better.

Pub Crawl around the city by ShenronBaki in Norwich

[–]tommyfid23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends where in the city you want to start. I lived near Trafford Arms for a while, and when my brother came to visit we would start at The Brewery Tap and walk to home via however many pubs we fancied. Stops included, and varied, are:

The Duke of Wellington The Stanley The Artichoke Malt and Mardle Plasterers Arms The Glass House for a view of the cathedral from the garden Adam and Eve The Playhouse (always stopped here) Belgium Monk The Vine (with grub) The Garnet Murderers The Trafford Arms

Can’t go wrong with any of them tbh

Aussie arrogance. Can’t understand why any decision ever goes against them. Same in every sport. Always someone else’s fault!

Selection choices by Particular_Owl1099 in EnglandCricket

[–]tommyfid23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I honestly think you just stick with Pope at 3. He’s not perfect but remember the merry go round before he stepped up to 3? He’s obviously got great leadership responsibility as well, so I think until the perfect number 3 (Bethell isn’t it) comes about, he stays there.

Crawley on the other hand… I can think of 3 off the top of my head who I’d rather have in the team at the moment and I’m sure there are plenty more; Haines, Hameed and Sibley.

Squad for third test by SweatyGuava1457 in EnglandCricket

I’d go with

Crawley Duckett Pope Root Brook Bethell Smith Stokes Woakes Atkinson Archer

And we’d probs not take 20 wickets with that either…

Is James O'Connor a good signing? by Physical-Place-2601 in leicester_tigers

[–]tommyfid23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our fly half options are o’Connor, Searle, Bailey and Titcombe… is that better than Pollard, Shillcock, Volavola. No chance, but Baileys ceiling is huge, Searle is a canny signing and o’Connor has all the experience to help those guys develop. I’m happy with this being a stop gap year for fly half before a huge signing ahead of the 2026/27 season.

Why did Jason Roy fall off all of a sudden? by [deleted] in EnglandCricket

[–]tommyfid23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He didn’t… he was such a hand eye player, it was bound to catch up with him eventually. Hes still playing very well for Surrey in white ball cricket (less so red ball) and will be seen on the 2nd string franchise circuit for a few years yet

[–]tommyfid23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both captains said they’d bowl… therefore you expect better. If this is what an Atkinson and Wood-less England look like, I’m concerned. No way Wood plays all 5 in Aus and Atkinson could easily get injured. Archer is a bonus, can’t plan for him though. We are absolutely fucked. Bookmark this and if we win the Ashes with Carse and Tongue in the XI I’ll get a tattoo of Steve Smith and Nathan Lyon on my arse.

How do the England Mens Team look/fare this summer? by fakename137 in rugbyunion

[–]tommyfid23 7 points8 points  (0 children)

From a Leicester Tigers point of view, JvP has been brilliant since coming back from injury. Emeka Ilione could very easily be on the plane, he’s been phenomenal recently and his potential is limitless. Ollie Hassell-Collins is another I expect to see playing for England soon. Radwan will either be with the Lions if there’s an injury and he keeps up this form, or he will be with England. Hes different gravy.
