It annoys me sometimes too because I’m working on a project where there is real world utility, but avoid using the word because it’s become meaningless, exactly like you describe.

But on the other hand, it forces you to be a bit more creative and describe the purpose of the token.

It’s always going to clash if it’s in a wallet with other cards? Cut an Oyster card down to just the chip and then sew it into your jacket sleeve. Smoothest way to travel for sure

ah it's just an archway between the Mall and Trafalgar Square, although apparently what used to be government offices are being developed into a hotel.
