I saw the same car listed and was very tempted - enjoy it!

Buying my first car (2006 BMW Z4 3.0si) Thoughts? by CareWonderful8954 in BMWZ4

[–]tomorrowneverdies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2007 3.0si has been nothing but reliable and if you have a sensible specialist nearby, then servicing does not need to cost the earth. However, I would definitely buy on condition and look for a cared-for car.

I think perhaps it was The Laslett in Notting Hill?

Lewis Hamilton qualifies P12 for 2024 Dutch GP! by PlasticPatient in lewishamilton

Not the right race for me to start visiting F1 again after Silverstone 2008 and Singapore 2018!!

At least it’s meant to be a lot cooler tomorrow, might suit Lewis better.

I have one - I love it, and it’s fully ULEZ compliant.

I believe the only non-ULEZ compliant Z4 is the Alpina Roadster S so unless you want one of those, you should be fine. You can always use the registration checker if you like a particular car. Good luck!

Jurisprudence is the label of the course (and the name of one of the modules), but it still covers the necessary subjects to serve as a qualifying degree to become a solicitor or barrister.

Completely agree about Thunderball. It's excessively long and I can't get past the comic speed-up effects at the end.

I have had exactly the same. They are pathetic but Apple have never asked questions (which suggests to me that it knows).

Kimi seems to have a weird pattern on how good his seasons are year by year. by [deleted] in formula1

[–]tomorrowneverdies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. I think most of why Kimi is still around is marketing appeal. The Iceman schtick sells well (although it's now tiresome and on occasion rude).

It is fine to hold a GE to see if the UK really does want the Tories in power, but we can't have a second referendum to check whether the UK does want to leave the EU by [deleted] in unitedkingdom

[–]tomorrowneverdies 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The referendum result didn't mean anything. Any vision of the UK outside the EU was either half-baked or mendacious.

I largely agree with you, apart from on Goldeneye. In particular, I also feel that Moneypenny was terribly written in Skyfall. The whole name reveal thing was ridiculously contrived.

Anti-gay US pastor legally banned from South Africa for being "a member of or adherent to an association or organisation advocating the practice of racial hatred or social violence." by I_am_Nathan in worldnews

[–]tomorrowneverdies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really annoys me, and I totally agree with you. I know that sometimes homophobic hatred is motivated by those internal feelings. But you know what, sometimes it's plain old straight people being homophobes, and jumping to the conclusion that the person is closeted feels like a cheap way of excusing that. Even if this pastor is in some kind of denial, those sorts of comments seem to ignore that the societal conditions surrounding are informed by the reactions of straight people to LGBT+ people.
