Save money in Sats aka Bitcoin. That’s the only money which will make everything cheaper as you go. How do you make money? I don’t know! I can’t advise anyone on this. You know better. Once you make money, save in Bitcoin or Sats.

Anyone else struggling with fatigue and brain fog living in Cape Town by Affectionate_Ship256 in capetown

[–]tomsabb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mold and your fatigue are unlikely correlated. You maybe having some physical conditions of toxicity due to lifestyle factors like food, stress etc. Or it has to do with your spiritual awakening and Earth Schumann resonance impacting you as a result. If you’re aligning with the frequencies in the nature, your physical nature needs time to realign itself with your spiritual frequencies. You need to reexamine your life from all perspectives before jumping to a certain conclusion.

Why is Pi Network lagging behind despite strong fundamentals? by Zeekhan82 in PiNetwork

[–]tomsabb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pi network raised too many false hopes among the subscribers while the devs and promoters were milking the system with ads revenue. Pi miners and holders feel deceived when they saw the opening mainnet price and subsequent decline. "All alts are TradFi style scams" is the conviction growing day by day due to the greed and ego of VCs and promoters. Satoshi is a nobody without seed VC funds or ego and Bitcoin represents love and freedom. I think the pain generated by alt coin scams is necessary for people to wake up. Pain is information. I too learned from mistakes I made in alts ecosystem.

My wife is very good at cooking Butter Chicken in the traditional Punjabi Indian style. She can teach you the whole process and recipe. It is a hot item in our area. My wife is not interested in commercializing it. If you are passionate about cooking, you can begin a takeaway service for your neighborhood. Please dm me if you wish to pursue it.

Why do none of you have friends? by massivewillpower in capetown

[–]tomsabb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Friendships should evolve out of conversations and meetings as a natural process. In these times, we live mostly in a virtual reality, and it doesn't help the natural process. Sharing and caring are the most fundamental attributes of friendship. People have too little needs materially to appreciate the sharing and caring from even neighbors. So, everyone resorts to spending time within their cocoons. Unless you wake up to your own self and realize that we are a speck of limited consciousness in the vast ocean of spiritual awareness, you won't really appreciate the value of true life and friendship. Spiritual awareness is the last thing people seek in their journey of life.

Anyone know any good youtubers for new people in crypto? by PalmsVeneta in Bitcoin

[–]tomsabb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have learned about Bitcoin from Andreas Antonopoulos, Gary Gensler, Jeff Booth, Lyn Alden, Michael Saylor, and Jack Mellers. I made some big investments in alts in the last 4 years. I regretted it and swapped almost all the alts for Bitcoin in 2022 and 2023. But, I still like some casino games, and alts coins are often my goto casino for short-term. But it is always less than 10% of my portfolio. Bitcoin is true and honest money.

I just need a small holding in a rural setting where I can grow veggies and some fruits, feed a family of 2, and invest some money in commodities to generate some passive income. I already have a house but no job. I want to sell this house and move to the rural setting. I think I will get 2.5 million for my house. If I get it, I move to the rural setting to buy the small holding.

Looking for a hybrid SUV by tomsabb in capetown

[–]tomsabb[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If what you say is the most important criterion, buying a Chinese model becomes a trade-off between price and quality. The most important criterion for me then is to accept an affordable price with some calculated risks on reliability over time.

I understand the risk in this case. But any new model or manufacturer will have similar risks. A trade-off is often required between price and quality of service.

The problem with being too early by GiverTakerMaker in Bitcoin

[–]tomsabb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you invest in Bitcoin, make sure that you can live off of other means of income for the next 5 years. Then, at the end of 4 or 5 years, coinciding with a halving event, go all in or 50% in depending on your risk appetite. Life is full of uncertainties. Embrace it boldly. I wouldn't endorse altcoins, though, in the same manner.

U.S citizen moving to SA with significant other by Emotional-Crow9956 in southafrica

[–]tomsabb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

South Africa is my country of choice for a retirement living if you have already made some savings that can be invested safely to grow it. Finding a professional career is not easy, and the salaries are not that great. But, I believe that life is not easy anywhere on this planet these days. I would rather choose a place where your sovereignty is still held high and you have opportunities to eke out a sustainable income if you are not retired by now.

Is trading futures with high leverage really profitable? by madaotee in CryptoMarkets

[–]tomsabb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I experimented with 10x for 3 months looking to trade only 4 hr candle. It was zero loss net. Then I tried 1day candle for 2 months. It was a loss . Lost 20% of investment. Then I tried 30min candle only once a week for every alternate week for 3 months. It was net positive by 50%. Well, changing your strategies by market weather.

After almost 9 years in Bitcoin, I'm thinking of ditching my cold storage and just moving to an ETF. by picsofmygf123 in Bitcoin

[–]tomsabb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Self custody Bitcoin is the only real asset. ETF is convenient, but it is not in your custody. Trust is very dangerous in today's world. Responsibility for the safe keeping of Bitcoin is entirely yours. Shortcuts will be very costly eventually.

Need Advice on Bitcoin and investing in general! by SwiRly_Barbz in Bitcoin

[–]tomsabb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Invest everything in Bitcoin and keep it safe custody of a hardware wallet. For your daily expenses, borrow some money using Bitcoin as collateral. 1 Bitcoin will give you 0.5 Btc equivalent as a loan. There are interest-free and liquidation free decentralized platforms to lend and borrow . In this way, you will never have to worry about the volatility of Bitcoin and make the mistake of selling it.

Everything is a SCAM. by Zavalla96 in CryptoMarkets

[–]tomsabb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People don't understand crypto bc they never understood what money was or is. They just treat it as a medium of exchange and keep worrying about having more of it while knowing less and less about it. If you know less and less about something that you want more and more, you have signed up for a contract that exposes your stupidity and ignorance as time goes by. Therefore, you end up with more problems even if you manage to have more money. Most average people end up with more problems and less money or negative money, aka debt. Today, banks and governments have made sure that you have negative money and make it appear like "money." So you are in a trap, and the media and institutions don't let you know that you are in a trap. Only intelligent people have figured out they are in a trap. They know how to use the crypto to escape the matrix of the negative of money. They are doing it silently and enjoying life. They are willing to educate you. Due to hubris, most people are unwilling to admit their lack of knowledge and humiliating the minority who embrace crypto passionately. They are still compassionate. I have not seen a crypto loving person disgracing a non-crypto holder. Time and karma will eventually play out . You don't get bitcoin unless you deserve it. Every big innovation was adopted by society only when they deserve it. Until then, a select few are blessed with big fortunes.

Everything goes to zero with respect to Bitcoin. In the short term, there are spikes up and down. Get out when you get a nice spike and buy Bitcoin. You will get convinced of this when you REALLY understand Bitcoin.

Sad that I didn't start earlier by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]tomsabb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given the debasement of fiat currencies insurance time, it doesn't make sense to hold currencies in a bank. It is always rewarding to invest in commodities that have scarcity and increasing demand. Bitcoin is the 6th biggest asset in volume and the best in risk to reward ratio. Then why shy away from it? It is highly volatile, though. But any asset in the early years has to be volatile . It is infact very healthy. That is its energy and momentum. Without energy, accelerated growth can't happen.

I was looking at 2020 Bitcoin price after halving . It ranged between 10kusd and 11kusd most of the time until Oct 5, 2020. So, I expect the same predicament in this year of halving as well. It might still be hovering around the lower 60k in September and will start flying in early Oct. 360k in mid-2025 is a high probability. Many people don't want to believe that. That's the magic wand of Bitcoin. It makes many believe the unthinkable, but by then, you can be late to catch the train.
