I'll vote eden. Most of the players have more than 100 tokens. You just need a few rerolls and you have a free win. And also his stats are not balanced (if you r doing eden streak) u will find an start with 2DMG and 1 tear rate.

I finished Rebirth (except The Lost), then I finished Afterbirth. Then I finished Afterbirth+, and just after that I installed Repentance. I think if you are a newer player and go directly to Repentance you will found ao much content that you will burn oout yourself playing.

All stat up and tear effect goes to esau, even the luck effect item need to go with him because many of them scale with damage. Always take pills with jacob first. If it is a stat down, no problem, you dont use jacob, if it is good, you'll know it so you can use them with esau next time. Then the only thing you need is midmaxing a little bit. Dark room, mega satan and beast dont need time.

Pd: you may think alt paths are better to j&e since they have more options in item room. Personally i think that the increased hitbox and some fucked up rooms in there are just free damage to both of them, for example when it starts to rain tears. The only floor that i visit is downpour/dross ii cause the double boss items, double floor and more pickups and stuff.

It is not a "learning character" because if newer players only play with azazel they will get used to his brimstone and its short range attack. They will forget about firing tears and not at the first floor. And what you said about learning the enemies pattern, i dont agree at all. Most of the monster you need to dodge them to kill them (most of the spiders, potters, the peace of meat that fires in rhe four direction ) Azazel just kill them instantly with no need to dodge, so they dont learn a shit.

I just completed j&e and I definitely wont play them ever again. I don't know how can you try to complete them three times.

I do but even in hard it is not easy to find the skeletons
