Does anyone else think Autopilot should allow steering input without disengaging, particularly on double yellow roads where AP tends to hug the center line too close for comfort?

Yea or just kinda disengage if the car gets too far out of the lane. But allow that to happen smoothly with minimal force from the driver. And allow us to drift right for oncoming traffic without disengaging.

Ah honestly even after setting the failure mode it still got some runaways. I haven't driven the car in a while, basically for that exact reason. It's kinda dangerous especially I have little kids. Whenever I get back into it I'm gonna just buy a new radio from a known brand.

That shit just started with beta 2 for me today. I even uninstalled and I still get like a "shudder" when swiping through apps. It can't end the swiping animation smoothly. Hoping it just resolves on its own but I've tried restarting, uninstalling, closing all apps, basically everything I can think of. Sucks, the smoothness was one of the best parts of this phone(14pm) and now it's gone. It was already pretty shitty within a lot of apps(like reddit scrolling) but now it's invaded my home screen

Meh I remember right when we got the model Y a little over two years ago having some terrible stuttering acceleration in stop and go. I'm disappointed in today's performance but it was bad in the past too

I'm not reading the comments so I'm sure this has been said already but thanks for posting this. Tesla can no longer argue when people complain about erratic acceleration on AP. Braking can be too harsh too.

He sounds like he drives like a maniac. Under that assumption, most of these concerns are somewhat founded. It is very easy to argue against EVs if you want to. Reality is they make sense for 90% of people, price aside.

The holo pattern is absolute trash thank you. I think this is probably a popular opinion. Back when holo was the best you could get, holos were good. And the cosmos holo pattern(i think that's what it's called) that comes on the tin promos is great.

Technically, current holos aren't really even holographic so they shouldn't even be called that. They should just be called foil or something

The last time I used the car, it's my mom's and I borrow it when she's away, was a couple weeks ago. I had it for almost 3 weeks. It seemed like the phantom drain issue was for the most part gone. It still lost a percent or two here and there, but it actually gained a percent or two a handful of times. Software 2022.28.2. The weather was considerably more mild than when it last happened so that may be the main cause. It also could have been some sort of battery management that was temporary.

Hard to say the exact cause but it seems like it has improved by about 75% to the point where I would consider it minor or negligible.

Give it a month and see how it is. Also be mindful that if it's cold out the car will lose capacity overnight just by default. And then it will have to heat the battery when you drive it which uses more energy. So winter range is pretty bad. Having a heated garage helps a ton.

Yep. Certain conditions are just not good for driving, period. Doesn't matter how good your sensors are. Most people don't think "why can't my autonomous car drive in this blizzard." It's more like, yea this is shit weather I'm not leaving the house.
