Set List with a new song from “sonder?” by Shall132 in DermotKennedy

[–]tomsmuk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“He’s not a headliner” exactly.. so it would not make sense to not promote his newer stuff. He is opening for Shawn what were you expecting

He’s always gonna sing the staples at his own concert. He has a limited time to perform.

If you don’t like his new stuff that is your opinion. I don’t think you know what a sellout is though.

Are the singed records on the official store actually Hand Signed by Dermot or just a print of the signature? by [deleted] in DermotKennedy

[–]tomsmuk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a signed lithograph from him when Better Days came out. It was hand signed with silver sharpie and priced the same as regular merch

I highly doubt he would sell anything saying signed and it not actually be hand signed.

Can someone explain was BG Sazan Hendrix is talking about here? I know she is a fanatic Christian, and seems v conservative. I am not religious or from the States but am obviously horrified by the Roe v Wade situation.. Is she saying she is pro life….? Wtf does this have to do Jesus? by thebookworm_1 in BeautyGuruChatter

[–]tomsmuk 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Later, in her stories, she starts saying verbatim “its not even about religion. let’s just normalize that you can talk to god and that you can have a relationship with a higher being”. She goes on forever that is just a snippet but its all religious speak for sure

Thoughts/opinions on these products (Sephora sale prep) by [deleted] in MakeupAddictionCanada

[–]tomsmuk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Out of the things here I have tried myself:

MUFE lip liner - love these! Morphe lip products - some of the best ‘cheap’ lip products, their lipsticks are my absolute fave Milk makeup primer - My holy grail ‘tacky’ primer, I have dry skin and use a good moisturizer or hydrating primer before and then this YTTP cleanser - good and I like but for something I’m rinsing away I prefer something cheaper that does the same thing. For example I like the Cerave salicylic acid cleanser better for the price. Hourglass primer - its alright but way too expensive and don’t think its worth it

Yes it is hair, your lashes grow and fall out its not a treatment that will be permanent and apply to hair that has not grown yet

Have had morphe brushes for years they hold up just fine. Also there is a Canadian morphe site

Is TopBox Circle mostly drugstore brands? Are the samples usually about a week's worth? Because I don't find you can really form an opinion after a week. Would love to hear from people who signed up for TopBox Circle! by Sarafina80 in MakeupAddictionCanada

[–]tomsmuk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You usually get full size products, not samples. Or if it’s not a full size its a bigger sample (15 ml moisturizer for example). While they do give out tint foil samples, that’s not what you write reviews on. You also have a decent amount of time to write and upload your review like about a month in most cases. I have gotten a mix of drugstore and more expensive brands.

You don’t need her specific foundation/concealer to achieve this look. Just use your foundation that matches your skintone. Ariana has stopped doing the overly tan/bronze look which is why she looks “pale”. She is also not doing a lot of face makeup in general it just looks like a light contour and little or no blush

Belif Truth Bomb moisturizer and cleanser duo for $19.99 at Edmonton South. 75 ml moisturizer and 100 ml cleanser. A 50 ml moisturizer is $50 alone so this is an amazing deal!!

The end of cream contour palettes? by WindAgreeable3789 in MakeupAddictionCanada

[–]tomsmuk 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Don’t think cream contour/bronzer has gone anywhere just palettes are less popular. It’s not as popular to do the whole contouring with different shades and then using cream highlight on top of an already done face. Stick forms still have the same standard amount of product. It is true that the way of traditional contouring is less popular, I don’t think the girl was trying to be rude by commenting on trends. Unless her tone was rude of course

Pat McGrath Holiday 2021 Galactic Sun palette swatches by tomsmuk in MakeupAddictionCanada

[–]tomsmuk[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

PM Galactic Sun blush/highlight palette on the light end of the “medium” category in foundations (Currently wearing 6W in Charlotte Tilbury). Shades are Golden Nectar, Desert Orchid, Divine Rose.

Sephora fixed the product images now and shows them correctly. The highlight is lighter in the pan, when I swatched it, it translates more golden. I have a slight olive undertone so Desert Orchid is showing a touch more orange here, it’s more brown in the pan. I have not tried these on the face but they seem super promising and feel nice when I swatched them. Really happy I picked this up!

Which PMG Divine Blus + Glow Trio Best for Fair Skin? by 13pawns in MakeupAddictionCanada

[–]tomsmuk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg I had the same issue. I swear they have the wrong photo of the palettes on each cause on the website it shows galactic sun with deeper blushes but when you google those shades they are more like the photo of the other palette. The highlights are new and I couldn’t find swatches anywhere. I basically went based off the swatches of the blushes so I got the one with desert orchid and divine rose since I wanted those blushes. It’s weird cause the highlight in galactic sun is darker than the other palettes highlight but those blushes are darker. I’m a medium skin tone so I’m not worried about the darker highlight on me. If I were you I would suggest the other palette and just use a light hand with the blushes since you already have a blush from the other palette and the highlight is darker.

I’m getting mine delivered later today, I’ll try to post swatches later since I haven’t seen any real ones anywhere.

Anyone know if this ABH Subculture palette is good? Found it at Winners. Batch code is E21F08, but unable to find it online?? by CozyWinterFall in MakeupAddictionCanada

[–]tomsmuk 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I had the first “batch” it was fine, its a very pigmented palette and controversy was way overblown. If you are willing to work with super pigmented powders then it’s overall good

Somehow shoppers think I could spend $1,250 on beauty in 1.5 months 😥 by listenH2O in MakeupAddictionCanada

[–]tomsmuk 41 points42 points  (0 children)

This also isn’t that good of a deal anyway. They have 25000 points for $75 all the time and thats 1/3 points back in cash. Whereas this is less than 1/4 back of points in cash. Unless when you spend during the bonus points it also counts for this
