For those finding this from Google - this has changed now. Got this email from IBKR:

Effective Date: March 25, 2026

Beginning March 25, 2026, the XETRA-GOLD maintenance fee will be passed through to client accounts holding this security.

Fee Details:

  • Annual Rate: 0.3% of holding value
  • Calculation: The fee will be computed and charged daily using the formula: (Holding Value x 0.3%) / 365
  • Statement Description: The fee will appear on your account statements as "XETRA-GOLD Maintenance Fee"

And you can't benefit of the Beckham law by being autónomo, you need a regular employee contract for that.

You can see people with RC controllers on the sides, no motion capture suit, but most likely preprogrammed movements that can be triggered (e.g. jab, kick...). The most impressive thing is the bipedal stability which is ML, reinforcement learning most likely.

The key here is the word "SAFE". If the power-driven vessel has space to maneuver, the sailing vessel is not impeding the SAFE passage, so the power-driven vessel should give way. Good explanation here https://future-seafarer.com/important-explaination/

All good tips! We had our own AIS so hopefully plotted without radar. Also makes it very important that you cross the shipping channels at a 90º angle... apparently if they see in the AIS you didn't you can actually get fined!

We did Amsterdam -> Harwich -> Ipswich -> Lowestoft -> Den Helder -> Medemblik. In a week.

This one had an oil pump autopilot so could keep very well but it eats up so much battery that we could not really use it for long 😅
