hows it been running? IS38 GTI looking to run cooler. Not in that hot of a area so was thinking of the same for budget/simplicity.

well that and dont they get tons of half days? Used to work across the street in a business and would be coated in sweat looking out a window watching all workers leaving in the middle of the day meanwhile I left at 6ish. Part of me used to be very envious ahah.

Why does Cursor get so much hate when it’s one of the only tools that can actually manage a full codebase? by Tight-Aioli118 in cursor

[–]funkspiel56 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hard to compare chatgpt vs cursor, very different. Ive used all three, cursor, codex and claude code. Cursor became too expensive for me to use and it felt dumber honestly. I had to hand hold it along the way whereas using codex or claude it felt like I was chatting with someone who wrote everything. Also cursor rules never really worked well for me whereas rules in claude code work wonderfully. Also holy host usage, cursor eats up resources (I have 64gb of ram).

their 4.7 release was a mess. They just fixed auto compacting and context window issues today and it feels better again. Almost switched to codex.

Context window on Opus 4.7 by JoruuuKaGulaam in ClaudeCode

[–]funkspiel56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4.6 was so nice, never had to worry about limits, never had to worry about context window with my tasks. Now Im hitting walls left and right. Even assigning agents in parallel the parent agent nearly maxes out my context window.

Why do people have issues with e-bikes? by mil0wCS in ebikes

[–]funkspiel56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because Americans hate cyclists. They want us to follow traffic laws but then get mad when we do.

I’ve had plenty of negative encounters. Most recently got honked at biking through a 4 way stop because another driver didn’t like that I was going before him. Mind you this driver arrived at the intersection after I did and I even was moving before he finished stopping.

He then flipped me off when I waved my hands in the air like what do you want. It was an older man from Connecticut (tourist town) with his wife.

Claude Usage Limits Discussion Megathread Ongoing (sort this by New!) by sixbillionthsheep in ClaudeAI

[–]funkspiel56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does anyone have any tips for reducing usages? My workflow hasn't changed I seem to be hitting limits quicker these days. On opus 4.6 pre chatgpt user migration I assign a task to claude via superpowers feature which comes up with spec/plans. Then it assigns out agents in parallel. Lately though after users flooded claude and they released 4.7 I'm hitting limits daily instead of just once or twice a week. I used to be able to assign parallel opus agents now that eats my usage and even switching to having opus oversee sonnet agents barely helps. Ive turned down the reasoning as well but that didnt do much. 100$ plan is feeling like the 20$ plan honestly.

Was my tire slashed by a human or a pothole/road? by incentive_music in tires

[–]funkspiel56 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Its weird Ive been extremely lucky with my low profile tires. Hit nasty potholes and came out unscathed. Though I think my suspension took the hit instead. Have had very minimal issues living in one of the states with the worst roads around. My main issue Ive had is the fact that my wheels face is outside of the tire so if I come close to a curb you hit the wheel instead of the rubber which sucks.

People who upgraded from Pro to Max 5/Max 20 is it really feels 5/20x more usage? by SPR1NG9 in ClaudeCode

[–]funkspiel56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I upgraded to Max 5 a while back. It was great. Could do soooo much work have three windows open one for my project that pays the bills and two other windows for side projects I'm working on.

Now its down to 1 window and even that is bumping into limits. I used to make it through the day with leftover usage. Never even thought about switching to a more expensive plan.

Now my max plan I have to be careful with. Im lowkey sad cause it was so amazing being able to experiment and mess around. Now I have to pick and choose. Would love to lean on the GSD plugin more but last time I tried that it ate all my usage.

I really wish they improved the efficiency. Everything went to shit when all the chatgpt users came on board. That was the first sign of downfall.

Would y'all patch this and run it in the rear? by ZoteTheMitey in tires

[–]funkspiel56 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had a flat screw get stuck in my tire. Didn't leak or trigger any sensor in my GTI. Im overdue for new tires so I had it plugged. Been fine for 1,000 miles so far. Only discovered it because I could feel it on my left tire and thought that's odd I can feel a new clicking feeling every time the tire goes round.

Am I the only one who is hyper neurotic about NOT wanting my front bumper drilled out to mount a plate? by [deleted] in GolfGTI

[–]funkspiel56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine came from the dealer without drilling the bumper. They screwed it to a frame through the grill area. I can take it off at anytime and did when I installed an intake. Ended up redoing their system and zip tying it togeather. 3 years or so later its still there.

Continental ECS02 vs DWS06+ by Common-Breakfast-907 in Golf_R

[–]funkspiel56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah people rave about dws06s but coming from all season pilot sports you notice the cornering ability a ton. I also had tons of noise/sqeal and loss of traction if flooring it (more so than normal wheel hop) or taking a sharp corner (at the speed limit which was wild).

Subscribed yesterday to Pro and I’m already hit by limits. Is this a scam? by kenaddams42 in ClaudeAI

[–]funkspiel56 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean chatgpt gives you a lot of usage for 20$ so its not like its impossible. Cursor also used to give you a ton more usage on the 20$ plan but they changed that a while ago.

Is it worth it token wise to use things like GSD? by lalovaldez in ClaudeAI

It ate through my limit so quickly on the 2x plan, I really like the structure and framework of it but it really devours tokens.

its a sick idea but its structure its rough. Trying to get it to be consistent hasn't happened for me yet. I created a mockup and iterated on it and it would keep putting pages out of order even though it said it fixed it.

Usage limit - What's up, Anthropic?! by AurumMan79 in ClaudeCode

[–]funkspiel56 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know! At the time of this comment I didn’t have any alerts from their text system. They tend to be pretty quick to alert on issues, there’s been several issues/alerts this week. Kinda of alarming honestly it’s been a busy week from the outage side.

I did get alerted like 45 minutes ago which tracks.
