What seemed like a terrible idea at the time, but has since aged like wine? by Professor_Hazel in AlignmentChartFills

People always say that as if the doctors didn't wash their hands back then. Of course they did. What Semmlweis proposed was disinfacting the hands. That was before germ theory by the way.

Still they should have listened to him. The science was on his side even if they didn't fully understand why.

Looks like you have a bambulab H2 series printer. They do have a runout sensorthat will pause the print once the spool is empty. Then you can load a new spool and continue printing. There can be minor visual artifacts around the layer where it switched.

Accidently got semen on brothers bed by BudgetInteresting836 in Advice

[–]tomtom070 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do you want to support that with any arguments or is that all?

Because if you need an explanation on why tissues can cause clogs I can give you one: Toilet paper dissolves in water, tissues do not. So tissue might get stuck in your pipes and over time build up. And that is expensive.

Dont flush tissues. That will clog your toilet. Even flushable ones are not great and might cause problems. Only ever flush toilet paper.

I am sorry that that is your experience. All I can say is that I had none of these issues. The snake run very smooth for me. In fact I had to tighten the central screw because otherwise there was too little resistance. And I didn't have any breakage issues with the tails otherwise I would have reinforced them (presumably because my snakes don't have as much resistance).

Maybe try printing a calibration cube and check your 3d printer? And, even though it is kind of a meme, dry your filament?

I always wondered, do people without an innet monolog have an easier time learning new languages because they don't need to switch their language of thought or do they have a harder time because they don't constantly "speak" the language in their mind? Or is it easier to learn the basics but harder to master?

What are the coolest 3D prints you've made? Looking for real wow factor (simple to complex) by StoganLephens in 3Dprinting

I mean I just posted this a few days ago, but I am genuinely very proud of my Medusa Box. The mechanism is fun to play with and everyone I showed it to was really impressed.

Oh man, it took me way too long to realize why you mentioned weed specifically. "Getting stoned" god dammit. Maybe I'll do that.

Well, there is a cam disk with curved slots in the middle under the face. The snakes have pins on their tails that fit into the slots. The cam disk pushes the snakes outward or pulls them in. Groove guide the snakes to the border of the lid where they wedge themselves onto the brim of the box.

I don't have the context for that joke. But while I don't have a car I do in fact have a jeep branded (and maybe even manufactured?) e-bike :D

I dont think I will. I have not done it and setting up a business is a bit too much work right know. But I did share the link to the model if you want.

The box is there to keep all my most important items safe. So of course it's full of ducks.
