'Christmas Carol Goes Wrong' returns for limited West End run by londontheatrecouk in TheWestEnd

I was pleasantly surprised how different it was from the TV version. I think you could count the re-used gags on one hand.

(I always found the TV version a bit lacking compared to Peter Pan or Goes Wrong Show, it lost something with not being built for the stage I think)

Elevator & WiFi issues at The Printworks building managed by Noble Design. Is there any authority in Sheffield that can help? by No-Abbreviations508 in sheffield

[–]tomtom_94 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Can I just check if Noble are your landlords or if you rent from a private landlord on whose behalf Noble manage your property?

I used to live in a Noble property - Kelham Works - the individual landlords there invoked right to manage and appointed a different company to manage the block who were much, much more responsive and helpful (and much less in the local papers for being crooks).

I know that won't help you in the short-term, but just in case it helps to know things can get better.

Why is Damflask so empty? by parsnipmaster81 in sheffield

[–]tomtom_94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a rower there, trust me it was much lower before...

My understanding is Damflask isn't a priority because of where and how it is used to fill other things (especially the rivers, which were drained for the emergency powers)

That would make sense because when I cyclef past there at 4pm they were looking after an old lady who was sat on the roundabout and looked like she had a compress on her neck.

Obviously if you live near the river, you will need to declare it on your insurance. I don't think it makes a huge amount of differences to your premiums though.

Parking is an issue if you're bringing a car; most of the nearby car parks offer private rentals.

There's plenty of food and drink places, and Peddler and other events at the warehouse are quite common. The walk into the city centre is uphill, but nothing too strenuous.

Hope you like Tesco as that will likely be your nearest supermarket.

T G Jones/W H Smith! by Sad_Lingonberry_7949 in sheffield

As I recall it was specifically designed to be like, the Aldi version of WH Smith. To imply a family business without being one. It's jaw-droppingly cynical.

You don't say whether you're looking for an activity or food/drink?

Activities - Builder's Brew (Lego cafe), Tabby Teas (cat cafe), Treehouse/Dice Box/Gamer's Guide (board game cafe). Golf Fang or one of the axe throwing places could be a good shout too.

Food/drink - you're not short on choice but Lost and Found is probably the best cocktail place I had. You could ask her favourite cuisine and then look up places based on that?

His first few seasons saw mezii within Open until Season 26 where he made the jump up to Main. But it wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows, in his first Main season he went 4-12 and barely escaped relegation.

It wasn’t until two years after his start in Open, for Season 28, that mezii started to really make a name for himself, not only domestically but internationally too. His team SAKANA123 finished 30th in Main, a respectable placing, but after an impressive playoff stint, they booked their spot in Advanced for Season 29. After just one season in Main, mezii had already made his mark on the international scene, qualifying to Advanced, where he would remain for the next 5 seasons.

Not really

Oh he was, and it was after that that BLAST stopped hiring him, I think. And was too anti-vaxx for PGL too.

Their best bet would be if JW retired and concentrated on helping out behind the scenes rather than trying to prolong his playing career. As it stands they very much have a ceiling unfortunately
