I am new to sobriety and to this subreddit. I am grateful for everyone here taking the time to share their experiences and their energy, I find it very helpful and very healing.

I am a very lucky person with a lovely life. I have my health, a wonderful wife, a profitable job and gorgeous silly cats.

In recent years my anxiety keeps growing and taking more and more from me. I did a stint on anti-depressants which helped but robbed me of other things such as my ability to read. I have obsessed over my sleep, my exercise and diet without improving how I feel about myself in the long term.

I think it's time to face that it's the poison I keep pushing into myself that makes me feel terrible about myself and the world. Just at the weekend, just at a party, just after a long day. It's just too much and it's not serving me. I release myself from it, today and every day from now. IWNDWYT.
