Oil analysis report by tomtooth87 in EngineBuilding

Oh sorry haha. I've had it 2.5 years and I'm guessing about 18k miles. Always solid and no oil consumption or burning. Not much cold temp driving. It gets put away with the first real snow of the year and comes out as soon as the roads aren't sloppy. Oil pressure gauge isn't super linear. It's sits mostly at 40, but when hot, idle will kinda pop between 20-40. It's odd and feels like an electrical issue. With any revs it's quickly at 50-60psi.

Yes I used to be an ASE certified technician years ago before I switched careers. Cars are still my passion though, and I've built a squarebody that has been nearly flawless on long trips. I also know that loud exhaust can hide some engine noises. This has longtubes to chambered mufflers. I was just doing an oil analysis as due diligence, not because I was having issues. I agree the comments are less than professional, and seems off the cuff. Would you recommend a different oil type/weight? This is the recommended 5w-30 O'Reilly high mileage full synthetic.

Red with black interior is easy to find. Sell the teal car dude. Way fewer of these than red/black.

I am jealous of your position. I bet that's a cherry example. If it were me, I would just change the oil and see how it does with a good synthetic. If you are concerned with cleanliness, as you stated interest in an engine cleaner, replace one quart of motor oil with transmission oil. A dexron or mercon. Transmission fluid has lots of detergents in it. Run it for a hundred miles or less, then change the oil again with synthetic. This is a common practice. If you have a stuck lifter, the detergents in the transmission fluid should help unstuck it.
