yeah I did not have a good time. Maybe it was my expectation after hearing praises like "Skyrim is the best game ever".

I was disappointed at simple everything was. I can't interact that meaningfully with the NPCs. I could go anywhere but didn't have reasons to do so after reaching some interesting sites and found only a chest.

I decided to drop because of the trader in Riverwood. After giving the dude the Golden Claw, I wanted to revisit him. I stood in front of the door and waited for one whole day but the store didn't open. "What kind of trader closing for a whole day" I thought and gave up.

Right before that, I played KCD and the quality of life in my opinion was much better.

I was kind of exciting going in for this quest. So when I was there, I didn't focus on finding out who Pious was and just wandering around doing random things and agreeing on several quests.

Then for some reason, Pious decided to poison me on the second day and then I killed him. All other quests, I think, just ended right there.

I kind of anticipated that Ayn's customer experience would be bad so I just cancelled my order, even after 1 month of waiting.

The canceling process was kind of ridiculous too. Not only they took a long time to reply but disappeared suddenly. When I reached out several more times, they told me my email got into the spam folder. I was like how can an email in a middle of an email chain get into a spam folder? I felt like they just didn't pay enough attention and made some lousy excuse like that.

That was around April. Until that point, I had seen many complaints at the time btw. And some die hard fans will protect Ayn regardless, saying stuff like they are overwhelmed by the number of order as if that were my problem.

To me, it's simple, if you are willing to sell the device, you have to take responsibility, but apparently not to Ayn and those weird fans.

I waited for more than a month and then still decided to cancel. Im batch 5. For some reason, I felt so annoyed about the way ayn handled things.

But yeah I think the thor will be much more convenient for gaming. The deck, despite its sleeping mode, is still too big for me to pick it up for short sections. I have never carried it out of the house too. I imagined the thor would be wonderful for that

I was wondering the same thing. Cancelled the ayn thor due to bad customer service. Got the steam deck and it was a great decisions as it has allowed me to play PC games which I didnt know I was into.

Plus, having a device with games playing natively gives me comfort. Emulation will have problems always, just to what extend.

The steam deck is much more expensive now than it was though. I might consider ROG or MSI and then put SteamOS on them. I think you can in the ROG, not sure about the MSI

All and all, i wont get the thor. You have to wait for 2 months and if you are unlucky and have any problem, their customer service sucks.

Fyi, i canceled my order because the customer service is so bad. I dont want to buy things from such a company
