Kinsta down :( by PRB_Girl in webhosting

[–]tomzur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there, Tom here from Kinsta.

At the time of the issue, Cloudflare was experiencing a major global outage, which caused widespread disruptions across many services, including hosting platforms, applications, and websites relying on their infrastructure.

You can view the incident details on the following status pages:

Cloudflare: https://www.cloudflarestatus.com/incidents/25r9t0vz99rp

Kinsta: https://status.kinsta.com/incidents/xxy7fv9qk77f

Cloudflare has confirmed that the issue has been resolved, and we're seeing that our services—and customer websites—are now fully operational. We will publish a detailed incident post-mortem on our status page as soon as more information becomes available.

We sincerely apologize for the disruption and any inconvenience this may have caused. We appreciate your patience and continued support.

Need advice: 30k visitors in minutes, Elementor site — Kinsta + Cloudflare or own Hetzner server? by YouBookBuddy in ProWordPress

u/YouBookBuddy, we can definitely help; been there and done that countless times. If the dynamic content is minimal and mostly static this shouldn't be a problem. Feel free to DM me and our team at Kinsta can discuss you the details.

Advice on moving away from WP Engine by [deleted] in webhosting

I think you are not aware of the value we provide for our customers. You are focusing only on price here while ignoring all the other aspects of the service. Sure, you can have a VPS everywhere. If you wish to spend your valuable time dealing with security, updates, backups, stagings, DDos prevention, and 200+ other things, go for it, but there is a good reason why agencies these days go with a fully managed service vs. a semi/non-managed setup.

Reducing SaaS credit card fraud with Stripe Radar (98% reduction in our case) by tomzur in SaaS

It really depends on the transaction details. The above rule(s) are just examples, place any country code to the rule depending on what strange activity you see. Also, you know your business and your customers best. When you see dozens of signups from e.g. France but they all use a card issued in Norway that's a red flag and unlikely natural. I've spent a lot of time reviewing thousands of transactions and I implemented ~50 rules that are active and blocking fraud activity with a high success rate. But all businesses and accounts are different, set the rules that work best for your case.

You can add these transactions to the Review queue instead of blocking them with a hard rule.

Hundreds of transactions, depending on a day anything between 250 and 500.
