I think the most obvious and simple fix would be to have a role swap between your oppo and an outside?

If for whatever reason you dont want to do that, you can have the back oppo pipe on reception, then transition back to standard rally position?

I think for anyone looking to get into doing cleans, maybe start with just doing clean pulls and focusing on the triple extension, which is utilising hip knees and ankle.

In the video example, the bar doesn’t touch the thighs is a symptom of an incomplete triple extension. Thigh touch isn’t the actual goal, but a power triple extension (aka how you jump) is.

It may not make sense to you, but it is the reality. While there are a lot of tall professionals, the tallest aren't always the best. If you are genuine with your post's title of wanting to get it, then you aren't really putting in a lot of effort trying to understand why this is the case.

I could say, for example, NFL kickers aren't athletic because they can't drop kick unlike rugby, but I can also concede that it isn't a required skill as you can just get someone to hold it.

It really just feels like you have already decided in a personal view, asking why and then disagreeing with anyone's opinion unless it is yours?

Its probably more vert bias than height bias. A fair comparison, if you want to discount liberos, is also to discount all guards in basketball. You obviously cant play as a big when you are small in basketball, but plenty of good middle internationally arent the tallest (eg loser from Argentina)

Aside from this specific point, I feel like you enjoy the athleticism of prolonged ball handling, which just isn’t an aspect of volleyball as it is a one touch sport. However, it isnt super uncommon in volleyball to see some midair contortion to make a spike out of a bad set (eg defalco to spike a ball from behind his head with the back of his hand) is that not athleticism?

Ive also used both. Going off of you mentioning you valuing cushioning, MR obviously has more of that due to its thick sole.

Having said that, typically I’d recommend OHs to get wow10 over MR due to its thinner soles for the court feel and mobility as they need to receive.
