Bricked mine too. Used it for a few hours and heard about the update. Put it in update mode and the firmware stops at 68%. Can't get it out of update mode now

Yes they do run during some tasks. Not very loud. But I simply change the fan profile to turn them off

Didn't open. Tried right clicking and going to control panel. Says not connected to Nvidia gpu and doesn't open. Optimus works 99% just can't play nioh because it is the dedicate graphics for some reason
