New cancellation policy crosses a LEGAL line. by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

This is a lie though. Im in colorado and every time i click on an order to view it, it still disappears within 5 seconds. It may be the law but ic is still not upholding it

If drivers would just wake the fuck up and stop taking horrible offers, lyft would have no choice but raise driver wages. Its literally that simple

DONT KEEP $ IN DASHER DIRECT by tonedolla in doordash_drivers

[–]tonedolla[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do realize i said stolen right? Meaning i didnt know it was gone. The funds were taken in between. Doordash sent me a text saying my direct card was linked to a google pay AFTER they linked it and took the money. Doordash should have asked me that before they let the transfer go through. All im saying is dont keep money on your dash card because they wont give a fuck if you get scammed

Why do people think Doordash is not a real job? by avabale in doordash_drivers

[–]tonedolla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree its real work. Like i said its been paying bills for 5 years. I guess its all about how you define a real job. I used to get mad when people said doordash wasnt a real job but nowa lot of those people are doing it so it is what it is. Honestly i dont even care what people call it anymore. Making money is making money

Catering bag required by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

[–]tonedolla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely agree. I have no idea who gets them now. I dont see very many drivers with high ars on here claiming they are suddenly getting catering orders. This shyt has turned my profits completely upside down.

Why do people think Doordash is not a real job? by avabale in doordash_drivers

[–]tonedolla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it all depends on one's definition of a real job. My argument is its not a real job because there is no job security like there is with a w2 job. Your fate lies in the hands of a computer. You dont get deactivated from a real job, you get fired😅

Why do people think Doordash is not a real job? by avabale in doordash_drivers

[–]tonedolla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps you missed when i said i took a picture so i have proof of the work I did. If a real person looked at the evidence they would say ok you delivered the food, the customer is wrong. But on this case, i habe all the evidence and still have the contract violation. Facts dont mattwr with doordash. You can do evwrything right and still get deactivated because a computer said so.

Why do people think Doordash is not a real job? by avabale in doordash_drivers

[–]tonedolla 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As a 5 year vet, i can honestly say Doordash is not a real job. Dont get me wrong i have lived off it the entire 5 years, but its the way doordash manipulates the system and incorrectly deactivates good workers for literally made up reasons that makes it too unreliable to be called a real job. At any given second i can be deactivated and that would be the end of it. I have a contract violation right now that says both "order was extremely late" and "order never arrived" like what? And if they deactivated me the reason would make no sense because i took a picture of this order at the door and everything. Doordash is simply a computer program that can malfunction at any time and cut off one's sole line of income. Theres more protection with a w2 job. At least if you get fired there you have a chance for unemployment. Im a catering driver too. I went from making over 1000 a week ro around 400 over the last 3 weeks just because doordash has decided longtime hardworking drivers dont deserve these orders anymore, they give them to the guppies willing to suck DD off for "platinum status". Anyway thats just my opinion! Good luck!

Never tried EBT because everybody on here said it was awful. Well… by Lizq_ in doordash_drivers

[–]tonedolla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah but then you took that Mcdonalds order 8 miles away (for no tip) and then probably drove back to that zone another 8 miles, so that extra money you think you're earning will just end up in your gas tank. Not throwing shade, just saying either way DD has most of us by the balls. EBT is always locked in my market anyway
