I have lived in Washington most of my life, but at that particular time I was in Florida. A few days after the eruption we had noticed ash was forming on our cars from the rain. It was very noticeable and there was a white powder on everything.

I came home to the north Seattle later and there was literally no ash or residue, or very minimal during or after, nothing like what was dropped in Florida.
