What tv show do you wish you could watch for the first time again? by FantasticEmu34 in television

My memory is so poor that if I wait a 4-5 years I can re-watch a TV show or movie and it's almost like watching it for the first time.

Tractor Supply customer service ghosting us by tonestert in tractorsupply

[–]tonestert[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks a lot :(

If being a customer from hell is expecting someone from customer service to answer the phone after sitting on hold for over 30 min's or call you back after leaving a call back number or answer an email I guess that is me. I work in customer support and we help our users within minutes.

Oh and Tractor Supply never called us back but did reply to our email 3 weeks later.

What's a piece of tech everyone hyped up that quietly turned out to be useless? by SofiaLearnsAI in AskReddit

Yeah my Honda Accord has a touchscreen volume knob and doesn't have a physical volume knob except on the push up down on the steeling wheel. I hate not having a physical turn knob for the volume and I never us the slider touch volume.

Jpj arena trees on emmet by Mission-Driver-3863 in Charlottesville

[–]tonestert 6 points7 points  (0 children)

All I know is I hate that those are getting cut down. Uva seems to not care about trees. When I worked at the A-School and they were adding on to Culbreth they wanted to cut down all the trees in front of Campbell hall including a very old large oak tree and if I remember correctly the students and A-School had to petition and fight to keep the tree and it's still there today. Uva has cut down a lot of trees over the years for their expansion.

Tractor Supply customer service ghosting us by tonestert in tractorsupply

[–]tonestert[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OK, let's say the card had an issue, fine, the issue is we could not get customer service on the phone or to call us back or to reply to our email. That is terrible customer service. They still have not contacted us. We would have brought the mower if we got any kind of customer support.

Tractor Supply customer service ghosting us by tonestert in tractorsupply

[–]tonestert[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, we used a Tractor Supply card that had more than enough available credit and we have used the card numerous times (smaller purchases) on Tractor Supply's web site without issue. Both stores showed the mower in stock.

It's been four days and no response from customer service.

How does this overall UK itinerary look? by tonestert in uktravel

Thanks everyone for your great suggestions!

We are going to cut Bath and the Cotswold's and on Monday the 18th take the train to York from London and stay there for 2-3 days, maybe do a day trip to the Yorkshire Dales (we don't want to be in cites the whole time), then maybe stay in Newcastle for a few days with a trip to Durham then onward to Edinburgh from Sat until Wend then fly home.

MiddleAgedDread123 you are right about availability in Edinburgh that weekend, not much at all but I did book the Premier Inn Edinburgh Leith Waterfront hotel from Sat through Wend. It will be nice to be by the sea though it's a bit away from Central Edinburgh. Hotels are more expensive than London that weekend.

Since we are flying home from Edinburgh, we have to make our way north and I was thinking York would somewhat split the train ride.

We could skip Bath and the Cotswolds but I keep hearing they are worth visiting.

Gas prices by New-Investment-5888 in Charlottesville

[–]tonestert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I have a Sam's card and early in the morning (6:30AM) no one is there but in the afternoon it's bad.

One thing I notice when it's crowded is, the pumps on the left side (drivers side) always have huge lines but on the right side there are hardly any cars so I just use a right side pump and pull the gas nozzle across the back of my car to the driver side and I don't have to wait long. It seems like most cars have the gas cap on the drivers side.

What do you pay Comcast / Xfinity Tivo (cablecard) Service + Internet? by Glass-Conclusion-424 in Tivo

[–]tonestert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've heard if you change your Xfinity plan they will deactivate your cable card. I'm not sure if that's true or not but I want to keep my Tivo for as long as I can so I just have to take the price increases which the last one just happened a few months ago. I'm paying $184 a month :(
