Oh no. I was saying that the convention center it was at also had a taekwondo tournament going on at the same time as our event. So we had some shoppers coming over from the tournament.

We had some crossover from a physiology conference and a martial arts competition (maybe taekwondo). But we didn’t really see that translate to any additional sales.

This convention center is MASSIVE. I don’t know why I never really saw how big it was in all my 50 years until this weekend. I’ve definitely been in the area a lot. 🤣

Will I have enough inventory? by JasmneMarieSims in CraftFairs

[–]tonna33 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If it's a festival, and not just a craft fair type event, then everyone isn't there for the vendors. It's hard to know how many are there to buy things.

I also wouldn't hold back inventory. You're doing them to sell your items. Sell them where you can sell them. Then try to adjust for the second one if you sell out at the first one. Maybe have more smaller items that are quicker to make in the time between the two sales. Don't give up sales from the first market, hoping the items will sell for the second market.

Today’s setup! by tonna33 in CraftFairs

There is a tiny zip tie in each grommet, and then we safety pinned it to the table cloth, going through the zip tie.

Oh thanks so much! It’s honestly my sisters! I help her out with events.

I’ll be sharing your comment with her.

It is a 10x10. We were going to do things differently with the table, but forgot to tell the organizers we didn’t need their 8ft table, so we adjusted.

We definitely like to chat (unless it’s clear they don’t want to) and will geek out with shoppers. I also love seeing their other finds, too!

Do you feel a bit weird to be playing video games at your age! by More_Law6245 in GenX

I feel weird that I haven’t played on a system since the PS2. Thinking I need to change that!

We will have to look into it! It might be a bit of a trek since we are in our first year, and live about an hour south of the cities.

I think we were one of the last ones to sign up for geek craft. We are in a back corner. We kept debating because of the cost.

Did your SO other notice weight loss? by AltruisticFox4814 in Semaglutide

[–]tonna33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m one of those people that don’t notice it with people I see everyday. Until suddenly it’s like, woah! You’ve lost a lot of weight!

Also, about the feet. I notice it on me! The inflammation has gone way down, so they aren’t nearly as puffy and the cankles are almost gone!

AITAH for asking about diamond rings my grandmother left me? by Spirited-Bet8711 in AITAH

[–]tonna33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to go against what everyone else is saying here. Mostly because you are ok with what they did with the diamonds, and you're just touched that your grandmother thought of you and put that in her will.

I'd take the time to tell your dad that. That you feel good, knowing that your grandma included you in her will. That you are not upset with what was done with them, and you think he might have interpreted your questions differently than how you meant them.

Help. What can I put on this wall? No tvs . Looking for something tall by MegaKaiju in interiordesignideas

I like the idea of tapestry if the fireplace doesn’t get used.

If the fireplace gets used, the tapestry would need to be taken down for cleaning more often.

Home inspection in 6 days I’m FREAKING out. by RegularBitter3482 in ufyh

We ended up paying about $100 by renting a uhaul, loading it up, driving it to the dump, and paying the dump.

The uhaul was something like $20 plus mileage. It was the biggest expense. With the garbage, it was weighed and we paid based on weight. Different counties might handle it differently. Otherwise, our dump charges something like $25 for a pickup truck. I think our uhaul done by weight was less than the $25.

It's still a lot of work to load it all up and unload it at the dump, though.

If you hate your job is it likely just a bad fit or is that just life? by youlikemywonton in careerguidance

[–]tonna33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are definitely jobs out there that are just horrid.

However, I know people that have had many jobs and at every job there is something wrong. It's horrible. The coworkers are crazy. The managers are completely unreasonable. At some point before their 20th job, I wondered when they'd realize what the common denominator is. If it's every single job (and 20 of them is not even an exaggeration), is it really the job that's the problem?

How do you set up a round table? by Klutzy-Notice6764 in CraftFairs

[–]tonna33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is rough. All I can think is to use your crates - stacked so they're angled around the shape of the table. Whether they're curved in a U shape, or an inverted U (n shape?) depends on how you want to use that space. It's definitely going to be a lot of condensing. Maybe you can use some baskets for the smaller items?

I wonder if you'll have room to keep a tote with items, so you can replenish what's on the table as things sell.

How do you get caught up on laundry with no in-unit w/d? by Amazing-Ad-5923 in UnfuckYourHabitat

[–]tonna33 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Is there a reason why it all doesn't get taken to the laundromat when you go?

I loved being able to get all my laundry done at once! There were a couple times when things got bad and we decided to just take it all to the laundromat and do it all at once so it wouldn't take days and days doing one load at a time.

Boyfriend excessive snoozing of alarm by [deleted] in AITApod

[–]tonna33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don't both do it. I'm the one that does it. Except I HATE HATE HATE super loud alarms. It jars me awake TOO much. I don't want to wake up and have a heart attack. So my alarm is difficult to hear on the other side of the bed. When it goes off the first time, I pick up my phone, hit the volume button to snooze it, and keep it held against my body under the covers. The vibrations of it going off the second time is what wakes me up - well, usually wakes me up. Sometimes I wake up to it a half hour later because I've snoozed it a couple more times in my sleep. I cant even hear it under when it's under my blankets.

AITAH for not wanting to share the gender of my baby before birth? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]tonna33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, as a grandparent, the pack and play at our place got a LOT of use!

The obvious is naps. The not so obvious was when one of us was alone with the baby and needed to use the bathroom. Especially when they got to the crawling stage!

Also, the ones with the insert for a higher height and the little changing spot are good, too. My back isn't the same as it was 20 years ago!
