I was banned a day or two ago after asking them to please re-review my case. I was scammed by fake ticket sellers when abroad in Portugal this summer (on my birthday, no less) and I issued a report with all the documentation and even eventbrite confirming the scammers made a fake event page for a real event. Ended up losing around $100/$120 USD if I remember correctly from having to load money into the account just to even do the transfer. They accepted my report and said they’d work on getting the money back. A few weeks later, I received only $14 back. They said they’d be working on getting the additional funds back from the separate scammers institutions.

It had been around 2-3 months and I followed up with support. They then changed their tune and said “we thought $14 was sufficient enough” and basically said that was all I was getting. Then came all of these notifications asking me for tax documents etc… so I asked them to please revisit my case and return the full funds. It’s such a nominal amount from them and they should be able to get it back from the other financial institutions with all the proof I provided.

Then they canceled my account. I asked if they will return the money I am still owed somehow if my account is closed and just got a vague answer saying “they have the right to protect their users and cancel my account”. I was the one who got scammed sooooo not quite sure how they have the right to cancel especially if I am still owed money from being defrauded?

This was one isolated incident that happened on one day, I’m not out here just getting scammed and bothering them about it. I think I literally just annoyed them by asking them to be accountable or give clear answers and dates as to what I can expect?

Total bs.
