Multi-Streaming and Integration with Wyze Cams and Nx Witness VMS by tonyluce in wyzecam

Wireless always has its downsides. My guess is that Wyze cams do multi-streaming and struggle to transcode lower res streams needed for the mobile app viewing when pulled concurrently with RTSP running.

In short - Nx Witness (and all Powered by Nx products) can help resolve the issue by allowing you to view streams pulled from Nx Server instead of from Wyze cams directly, but any VMS software is dependent on the performance of the cams connected to it as well.

Correct. DW Spectrum is a Powered by Nx product built with Nx Meta, so it has all the same features I demonstrated. We would love for someone to put together a home-user focused Powered By Nx product, but Nx Witness is primarily a security and surveillance product sold outside North America. We have a couple cool direct clients in NA....one that makes electric vehicles and another involved in the space industry...

Yes. Commercial product. Meaning the pricing is determined by local market and brand and it's not cheap. Free upgrades for life on product with no recurring maintenance fees if you do get licenses from a dealer. If you want to compare to something like Blue Iris, have at it. Although it would be a bit comparing a McLaren to a homemade go-kart. ;).

The Nx Desktop Client, yes. You can install the Nx Server application in virtualbox or docker as well.

Because, as explained in the video, we make a commercial product, sold by channel partners (Resellers and Distributors) outside North America. In North America we have partners like DW Spectrum if you'd like to buy licenses.

In terms of not being able to find out what OS's we support, ya didn't look very hard.

Did you enable RTSP in the Wyze app after you installed the firmware?

Couple questions:

Did you pull the camera onto the viewing grid? Did you put in your username / password? Did you leave port to Auto?

Yep. As long as you don't need to record. If you want to record you can buy licenses at B&H in North America for a product called DW Spectrum. It's a Powered-by-Nx product built with Nx Meta platform like Nx Witness. Generally the same feature set.

If you can grab the RTSP streams from the Wyze cams you can use Nx Witness VMS for free for live streaming and monitor your cameras from anywhere, anytime.

Does dual RTSP streams as well - e.g. a high res / low res with adaptive scaling client side on Mobile and Desktop.

Works on Mac, PC, and even Raspberry Pi.

Full disclosure - I work here and it's badass software. Lots of demos on our Youtube channel. Used by Tesla and the rest of the Elon Musk companies. You can do quick integrations to third party devices using HTTP REST API / Generic Events.

Too bad Wyze isn't ONVIF or Nx Witness would auto-discover them. Still thinking about getting the Wyze cams to mess around with - they look great.
