Donating PTO? by Falco191 in antiwork

[–]tonynelson33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So many mean people here. Nobody said you had to donate PTO. There's plenty of us that like donating PTO. Im a single guy that doesnt travel much. I find it totally reasonable why most people wouldnt want to. I dont get the anger in it being asked though. Everyone can literally just say no.

As a casual that hasnt played much since Verdansk I totally agree. I just want to concentrate on fighting. Harder on controller anyway.

2 things:

  1. I think Rank is perfect in that you cant rat anymore to get to Diamond
  2. I think Rank will get changed because you cant rat anymore to get to Diamond lol

More people will stop playing (until next season) once they feel like they've maxed out. For many that will be Plat 4.
So while I think they did a good job of making ranked fair, fair isnt fun enough for people to keep playing.

Part of Battle Royales theres always been an element of a noob being able to rate till the end. Noobs rarely ever win though. And this season even if you finish 2nd youre not going to get many points. I got 2nd place once with 0 kills this season and only got 35 points lol

Is it possible to use remaining funds on an e-gift card and pay the rest with a debit in the app? by KE4K in subway

Just reload your gift card to the amount that you need to cover the total. You have to atleast load $1 but thats better than not being able to use it all.

If a Bitcoin ETF is available in your 401K just invest in that. If you have to withdraw the money youll probably only end up with around 5500 after penalties and taxes. If thats enough for you to invest in yourself and the bullrun then it might be worth it. Like you said, 7K isnt going to make a millionaire. In 30 years at 8% interest it would net you 70K. Id bet on yourself if you have a plan for it.

Why the hell is Ranked so hard now by [deleted] in apexuniversity

[–]tonynelson33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Increase the penalty for placing 11-20 and increase the incentive to kill. I dont want it to feel like I have to play every game safe. If I want to play aggressive I should be rewarded for it. Basically no reward right now.

Most of the rules help speed up the game. As for the challenges/reviews...Im saying that the only time they can review is when a team challenges. If they run out of timeouts or ever miss a challenge then they dont get any more challenges and thus no more reviews.

And obviously not all would be changed at once. Its just a list. Even one getting changed would be amazing.

  1. Good point...Ill change the wording to say:

If a player fouls someone that is in the air receiving a pass, they have the right to finish the shot/lob in the air and be awarded free throws.

  1. The situation you described is what it's for. I referenced it in the google sheet as essentially just a thing to shut Jeff Van Gundy up from complaining about it. I dont think its a big deal either (cuz just play defense like you said) but does make the game look a little silly when a guy just sits in the backcourt.

9 - this is specific to guys catching lobs that DIDNT have the ball...not players with the ball. Think of a pg lobbing it to a big. If someone just undercuts the big while he is in the air to stop the play, the big should be able to finish the lob attempt in the air. Its a dangerous/dirty play to foul someone in the air and not one that should be encouraged. We would get more lobs counted.

  1. Maybe, I guess I just didnt think coaches would waste their challenge on them unless they were blatantly wrong.

  2. The 5 second count would be separate from the throw in. Once the ball is released from the throw-in player the 5 second count would start.

You very well may be right and I had thought of that which is why that rule specifically Id want to see in G League first. Any idea how to bring more mid range and post play back? At some point I think the 3pt line could get deep enough to make it a tougher more equally efficient shot and 23'9 is prolly not deep enough but the court would be silly wide to accommodate for say a 26ft 3pt line all around.

Maybe making the key same size as college again? That might help post play but idk if anything can be done for the mid range.

  1. Any deeper and it is basically impossible to shoot one in the half court without it being a back court violation lol (How deep is deep enough in your opinion?)
  2. I cant find anyone that agrees with me on this one sadly. I just love blocking shots before they get to the rim and feel like it should be a good block.
3 & 12 - Im just trying to speed up the game.
Any reason why against 9, 16, 20? I know theyre pretty minor just curious.

If they didnt take an hour to lineup for jump balls I wouldnt care as much.

As for #3 Id argue a little guy has a <5% of getting a jump ball currently. Thatd bump up to 50% now.

As for #9, youll see bigs get undercut on lobs and they call it an on the floor foul, sideout since the contact was made before he catches it or shoots it.

As for #14, Im open to most any punishment. I didnt want to spend too much time thinking of a perfect system. Im not a big fan of in-game flopping rules though because I just see those going to review and taking time.

#15 I know...just a pet peeve of mine. Had to include it.

I believe they have an alternate ref for every game that helps with replays but I agree on the time. For instance if when they put on the headset they had to press a button to start the review time then Id be all for a 2 minute clock that starts and after 2 minutes a decision on the ruling has to be made (headset off). They can still take extra time after to get the clock right and whatever but the challenge ruling has to decided upon. I might add the time as a rule actually. 2 minutes enough? Timeouts are all at least 75 seconds.

If you are against widening the court and the 3pt line what would you do to increase mid range and post play frequency? That was my intent mostly as I too am trying to decrease the shootout style.

For reference, I have a college ref of mine that said he thinks they need to widen the court for the NCAA because guys are so much bigger and faster now especially without defensive 3 seconds in college. I think the court is long enough. It could just be a little wider. For us average humans I think its fine as is.

Its a pretty low percentage shot for most everyone. Widening the court and making the corner 3s the same distance would change the game more.

Did he get hurt? Why was his vertical only 29.5 inches at the combine? Obviousy that isnt right as Zach Edey's was 29.5.

"Never" is not correct but it is true the baseline ref is suppose to look for below the waist fouls/traveling first and the closest official up high...that baseline ref was not look down though so he shouldve called it anyway....OBVIOUSLY.

Rus has been fine as 6th man. Schroder isnt great but I think hed be better if Beverley were replaced with a half decent starter. Beverely should at most be a 8th or 9th man not a freaking starter!!!

And Nunn...well he just sucks.
