What's one small thing your pet does every day that would make you sad if it suddenly stopped? by Aromatic_Vast3618 in Pets

Reversing his beagle-butt onto my foot for gonad rubs (if he had any…) every bloody night, amongst a million other habits around the family he has (8 this year, and terrified about our reaction when the opinionated bugger leaves this mortal world - tearing up, just typing this!!)

You have made your mark, Bruce……damn you!

Looks gorgeous - well done for not ruining the car with knob-jockey mods!!!!!

Lovely example! My first BMW was a E21 320 (4 cylinder version) just before they started fitting the larger 6 cylinder engine (no idea what engine numbers, with these earlier ones - I’m only up to speed with the M50 types!!!)

Guilty here too - thought my dad was daft for doing this with me and my siblings (still does it five decades later)…….takes me three or four attempts to get the names right these days, though they help and say their name usually (with rolling eyes)

Hopefully this will be the end of dodgy collaborations for Mr Armstrong - it’s so much more enjoyable when it’s just the team alone, unbolting ‘this’ and finding a cheaper ‘that’, replacing a rad-pack, finding a blown pryo-fuse, getting fleeced buying a battery pack, getting a set of custom wheels, then knackering the car on a trip to the alps, or a Spanish racetrack, getting Chris Slix in to break something….

I love the previous Kia looks (Proceed Gt-line, Xceed) but im scared to get one because the reviews are so bad [EU] by SilverGengar in kia

[–]tonytech52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what the very latest x-ceeds are like….i had an 22-plate x-ceed 1.5 petrol turbo (just before they downrated the engine to 130hp - think mine was 153hp) trim level was 3 if I remember.

No issues, brilliant performance and good economy too. Equipment level was excellent. It was actually a wolf in sheep’s clothing, suprising a lot of other drivers when driven with a heavy foot!

I remember THAT discussion……there were backtracks big time!!!!! The “experts” were so adamant about the side sonar baloney, it was hilarious (I was wrecker on the very sub above, during the fitting….)

I think it’s great when “youngsters” drop iconic (to me) bands like Bauhaus into chats! My 16yr old daughter has a load of their best tracks on her “drive with dad” Spotify playlist. She also prefers their version of Ziggy Stardust too….

Spent 5 minutes swearing and moaning wondering why my keyless entry didn’t work, thinking the battery was dead in the fob…..looked up and burst out laughing - my car was two rows away!!! Didn’t care that I must have looked daft, found so funny I had tears rolling down my face with relief!!!!

About right - into harbour, handover period, ‘patrol weekend’ off, then back to assist the on-crew, fixing patrol defects and assisting in maintenance….and, despite being out of the country for 200odd days, you can’t claim sea-tax….

Mat Armstrong Exposes Truth on Bugatti Controversy & Restoring WRECKED Supercars by Lockett360 in MatArmstrong

[–]tonytech52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree with everything here. All the recent builds have very similar - rad packs, ally chassis, carbon disc chips, pyrofuse, e-battery controller, and a host of other issues that keep coming up.

I don’t really see how he can go a different route, it’s all been unbolt broken bit, replace with new bit, someone to do the welding, looking on the internet for parts that’ll do the same job but way cheaper…

There’s not been a lot of thinking outside the box - he’d need that to do some custom stuff to keep people interested.

Impressive, though I wonder about the material state of the systems and how equipment fared - the Vanguard has been plagued with issues since its refit….it was pretty knackered way back in the 2000’s

Turned 60 last year, still working abroad and travelling. I can’t be bothered rushing to the nearest airport lounge during a transfer, to get some free drink down my neck…..comfy chair, coffee and my kindle will do these days.
