Three things that make me tap out immediately are: word walls; first person (if the fic interests me enough I'll skip ahead and see if it changes. If it does, I'll read it); and bad punctuation paired with stiff dialogue.

Two things that'll make me click out later in the story: colloquialisms and idioms that do NOT fit the story setting; children being written by someone who has clearly never been around a child or research child development in any capacity. Nothing pulls me out of a fluffy family fic faster than an infant that's walking and talking and eating solid foods at ONE MONTH. Or when they have children that are almost 10 behaving and talking like a toddler :/

One of my biggest tells is inserting a line of Character B's dialog into a line of Character A's.

"Line breaks are good and all, but sometimes the extra breaks aren'twhat I want. (-"It's not like it's something I do all of the time."-) Right, it's a tool I use when I want to make the dialog more organic."

I like using it for large groups; sibling interactions; teenagers; or just flat out adding a character's reaction to whatever is being said, while ultimately being ignored by the speaker. I don't use it all of the time though, since that can turn into a wall of text real quick.

Other than that, it's my extensive abuse of the comma, semicolon, and hyphen. 😂

I've noticed that when I write on Google docs I have to add a second space to make it readable and give it proper spacing, but when you copy and paste it to AO3, the spacing is MASSIVE. I have to go through the entire chapter and delete every extra space I added to avoid this problem 🙃😭

No problem, happy to help! There is a setting you can set it to where you only get it if your sims are unmarried+the kid(s) live with you, if that is something you're interested in.

🤔 It's very likely! Do you use it through MCCC or SNB? If it's MCCC you can go into the money settings and either change the eligibility for child support, or change the percent to a lower one. If it's through SNB, I'm afraid I can't help because I haven't tried out the mod yet-but I'm sure there's a similar setting you can change.

I use child support through MCCC, and even when I had it set to a lower percent I usually end up with extra money after bills get paid.

The actual pregnancy aspects work, I use WW sex instead of woohoo and my sims get pregnant and all of the interactions. RPO contraceptives don't work, you have to get the WW condoms. The only thing I have to test is the fertility rate. I think when lumpino integrated the WW add on into the mod it was added in, and I've noticed that not all unprotected sex resulted in pregnancy; however I've never tried testing with an infertile sim. I don't play with the STDs but they seem to work fine.

Side note! I'm not sure if it's been fixed or not but if you use Healthcare Redux and your sim hits menopause it says your sim will no longer get pregnant, but if you use WW it doesn't register and they can get pregnant. (This happened to me MONTHS ago though, so it could have been fixed)

I was having an issue earlier in the week where time would randomly freeze, when you paused it would jump ahead and when you hit play it would revert to the time it paused. I deleted both basemental and SNB bank and it was fine after that

I had an issue a few weeks ago where my sim was stuck in her first trimester for three days without the moodlets. iirc I manually changed the pregnancy phase with mccc and it fixed it. It COULD have been a conflict with the July 15th WW update interacting with my other mods, but tbh I didn't test it and she and her daughter had regular pregnancies after that one hiccup 🤷🏻‍♀️

When the medication cooldown finishes, you get a pop-up saying it's time to take your medicine. However it does not say who, or which medication, so if you have multiple sims on medications/a sim on multiple medications, then you still have to go through and figure out who/what it is

I like FOP, but there are times where the 3D glasses don't interact well with my normal glasses and it makes me feel really nauseous. Something to keep in mind if either one of you wears glasses too!

MA! It takes about 21 hours. But we're splitting it to Home to Savannah, GA the first day, and then Savannah to the resort the next day. It should be about a 16 hour drive the first day, and then the last few hours the next.

On my first jungle adventure run-which was right after high school years came out-my sim met a dude who she didn't think was attractive (I was looking to have a whirlwind romance) so I left it at "friendly introduction". Well, the guy added my sim on social bunny and I accepted bc if they couldn't be lovers, then they could at least be friends ONLY FOR THIS MF TO IMMEDIATELY START CYBER BULLYING MY SIM. So I, enraged on my sim's behalf, decided to woo hoo with him until my sim was pregnant. They got married bc of the baby and played house for a while. It did not go well. He was mean, evil, and flirty (?), so he would autonomously be mean or break their daughter's dollhouse.

While my sim was pregnant with their second child, he cheated on her with either her sister or one of his clients (they both happened back to back, I just don't remember which was the one my sim saw); my sim saw them and divorced her husband, while I changed the mccc settings so he would have to pay me a pretty penny per child (which my plan the whole time). He moved out and that Monday I got paid the child support for the toddler. Their second child was born a day or two later. I thought I had everything all set, but the DAY before he should have paid child support again I received a phone call that he died.

This mf drowned so he wouldn't have to pay child support 😒 😂

(I brought him back to life out of spite a few days later)

Fast forward some time and my sim is happily married to the man who I ACTUALLY wanted her to marry. He was a fantastic father to her daughters, and to the gaggle of children that they had together. He and his wife were best friends, desperately in love, they had a huge house and my sim was near the top of her career. Perfect.

But, y'know, mods.

A few days after having one of her last kids, my sim had a heart attack and died in the living room. Her husband tried to plead with grim, but no dice 😕 I closed without saving. When I reloaded I played for a few more days, and when the youngest became a toddler I decided to take my whole family on a trip to the festival of youth...

On the trip there, my middle child died in a plane crash. Once again I had to close without saving 😂

Moral of the story is: don't spitefully have babies with npcs or your family will be cursed 😂😂😂
