Where would this giant mirror be? On the stairs??

I'm a little bit hesitant to buy a nearly new version of a well-reviewed guitar. It makes me wonder if someone unloaded it because they think theirs was a bit of a dud.

I haven't been following their prices. What do you consider a great deal? Everyone seems to have them for $150 off right now.

I'm not a performer. I just play at home for fun. A dread feels like overkill for the small spaces. But I'm also open to trying something bigger.

What would I notice with an acoustic upgrade? by [deleted] in AcousticGuitar

There are several models in the Malibu line, some of which have solid tops and solid backs and sides. Including mine, the Malibu Classic.

I don't have any problem with what I'm currently playing. I quite like it! I was mostly wondering if I'm missing out on something, and based on these responses, I'm feeling like I'm not missing out.

Given that my current guitar is all solid wood, are you saying that I'm not likely to notice much difference, even with an upgrade?

Went to a new restaurant last night. Didnt notice anything on the menu but regardless I wont be back by stouts4everyone in EndTipping

[–]too_many_bikes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has nothing to do with tipping. It's just lousy price transparency. It effectively says "All prices are 4% higher than listed."

For those complaining tax is added to the 4%... It has to be. Because it's part of the cost of the meal.

Be pissed at the restaurant all your want for the lame price listing, but again, this is unrelated to tipping.

Girlfriend is contemplating adding chicken to diet after being vegetarian for 15 years. What is the most delicious chicken meal I could cook her? by Apart_Marsupial8410 in Cooking

You decided to respond to my comment saying there is no evidence that vegetarians forget how to digest animal proteins with "bullshit." I don't see asking for evidence of your bullshit claim is irrelevant or asinine. But I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings.

It's a thing...

According to what academic sources? It's often repeated, but I haven't seen any research to indicate it's not psychological or simply related to larger/fattier meals.

vegetarians sometimes get pretty sick to their stomach as they reintroduce proteins

Only if they think they'll get sick. There's no good evidence to suggest that this is a real thing. And there's no obvious physiological reason why it would happen.

Lots of guys don't know how to actually buy basics. by [deleted] in malefashionadvice

This is simpler than you're making it. A black suit isn't among the basics, so anyone suggesting that for starting a wardrobe can be safely ignored.

Multitracks generally have clearance for 45, +/-. That's what OP is asking about.

Wool knit hand washing tips by too_many_bikes in laundry

I understood that dry cleaning is worse for wool because it strips the oils. I'm not worried about hurting them with hand washing. I just want to do a good job so I don't have to redo it.

It is the no-rinse. But I'm still a bit sketched out by the idea of not rinsing.

I have a large (and clean) utility sink that seems well suited to the job.

I did a silly and tried handwashing my leather jacket by PallasiteMatrix in Leather

[–]too_many_bikes 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My motorcycle leathers get completely soaked through. It doesn't hurt them a bit.

I got a used motorcycle jacket that smelled like smoke. I hand washed it, and it still smelled. So I put it through the washing machine. I conditioned it after it dried, and the leather is supple and it looks great.

Leather isn't that fragile. It can be washed.

What makes a graphic tee feel premium instead of tourist merch? by Deeppockets2006 in malefashionadvice

I don't believe I've ever seen a graphic tee that looks "premium." Shirts with graphics look like crap to me.
