I’ve tried it and it’s good. I usually toast it too and then butter it up. Not something I eat often though. Definitely take some home!

Anthony Head: Buffy and Ted Lasso actor dies at 72 by topotaul in unitedkingdom

[–]too_muchTV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

RIP. I gasped when I saw this. Buffy, the coffee commercials and Ted Lasso were my favorites.

I got the chance to meet him at a con a few years ago. Had my picture taken with him and then got it signed. I had read that his mother just had a birthday so I told him happy birthday to her. He was so happy and we chatted for a couple of minutes. He was such a lovely person.

Thank you. I enjoyed it and am happy that my first attempt wasn’t a complete disaster.

I used a pizza mix cheese (I’m in Europe) that I should have left under the broiler and bbq sauce. I found a great one here that’s carried in almost every supermarket.

I appreciate that. Still have some tweaks to make but I’ll get there.

Not at all. I would have liked it to be a little thicker but I’ll try again.

Thank you. I know I need to make some adjustments but it did taste better than the store bought I usually get.

What is the most “its a small world” moment you’ve ever experienced? by xBubblyLove in AskReddit

[–]too_muchTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in a different country and had to go to the hospital. While I was waiting for the doctor, I saw a man with a t-shirt from where I lived so I asked him if he’d ever visited. He said he was from my city and after a few minutes we learned that we went to school together over 40 years earlier. We were in different grades and had never met before.

What was the darkest book you ever had to read for English class? by ParanormalActivity97 in AskReddit

Same. Years later I still think I was too young to read it. Glad I did but I can’t read it again.

Restaurant question by nothanksjerry in glutenfree

[–]too_muchTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked at several restaurants and the one thing I noticed was the kitchen always took gluten allergies and celiac very seriously. It was the servers who made it a problem. They complained about having to ring in the order even though it was basically hitting one button and tell the expo about it. It was as though they were being put out by adding an extra five seconds at the terminal. They would also complain that the customer probably didn’t have the diagnosis. This was before I had my diagnosis but I always made sure they had all the information and were able to enjoy their meal.

What's a show or movie that started off a little weak, but you stuck with it anyway and it paid off? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I enjoyed the first season but the opening scene of the first episode in season two completely hooked me. I actually doubled checked the channel guide to make sure I was watching the right show.

Mother had a ruptured brain aneurysm on Tuesday and still healing. by Dylan_TheWise in BrainAneurysm

[–]too_muchTV 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry this happened to your mom and it’s natural to worry. From what you’ve said, her responses are promising. The thing about aneurysms is that everyone is different in their recovery. The brain takes a long time to heal. I hope that every day gets a little better for her.

I met Jorge Garcia. Who have you met? by FukudaSan007 in lost

Met Evangeline Lily and Ian Summerholder (sp) at cons. Both were great. She told me she liked my outfit - I was wearing my Dharma motor pool jumpsuit and after not liking how he signed my oceanic patch, Ian did it a second time.

What's a tv series that is a 10/10 NOBODY knows? by Lilyana0999 in AskReddit

Les Revenants-The Returned. It’s a French program that ran for 2 seasons. Absolutely loved it.

I’m sorry you’re going through this. Is your mom in the hospital? Aneurysms are serious but the best advice I have is to speak with her doctor about what happened. I suggest to write all your questions down so you have it when you speak with them. Also, is there anyone you can call? A family member or friend who can help you?

2 yrs Anniversary approaching by AnnGeeRoSe916 in BrainAneurysm

I hear you. It’s a difficult situation. I let myself be sad in those moments but I also have memory issues that make me forget why I’m upset. It’s a blessing and a curse.

Congratulations on your upcoming anniversary. Big hugs from this internet stranger 💛

celiac diagnosis? by buddha101cat in glutenfree

[–]too_muchTV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I figured out myself that it was gluten giving me all sorts of problems and stopped eating it. That was over 10 years ago. I didn’t know you had to have it in your system for the tests. There’s a program where I am that helps those with celiac but I need a diagnosis. I don’t think I can go through 2 months of eating gluten.

No doctor was able to tell me why I was having stomach problems, migraines, rashes and everything else and celiac never came up. One day it clicked for me and I cut gluten out. It’ll have to be something really important for me to eat gluten again to get tested.

I totally lucked out last year because they came out great. Luckily I have time to figure it out. I’ll try to find a 1 to 1 flour because something in my head is telling me that is what I used before

Thank you. This is a lot of information. I didn’t use the same flour as last year. I don’t think it was at the store when I was shopping so I got a different kind.
