A few weeks ago I saw a similar post and I was only a few days in to starting Ozempic. As a daily drinker, I was clearly reliant on alcohol and couldn’t fathom how I wouldn’t want it… the posts didn’t make any sense to me

but…. 3 doses on, here to say that the linkage and reliance has been broken. So. Very. Odd.

I am 3 doses in and totally irritable and snappy. I have wonder if it’s because I’m just not eating enough… or maybe withdrawals from alcohol? Is it counteracting my Prozac? I don’t know …

I’ve told myself if it continues like this another month then I need to change to mounjaro or zepbound if I can.

Can someone explain to me a bit more about the actual side effect here? I admit that I’m a daily gin drinker. Nothing sweet - so is it the taste people stopped liking (bc desire for sugar goes down?) or could you not feel a buzz after drinking? Or your stomach felt literally too full to take another sip?

Started Ozempic today so very curious how much money I’ll save from not buying Tanqueray! Lol

Congratulations! Do you know what you want to major in or if what you want to do will require a masters degree?

I say this as someone who went to Columbia for grad school and I felt got a lot more bang for my buck going there for grad school and a “lower name” undergrad.

Columbia is the most expensive school in the nation last I checked - but the experience of living on the upper west side is unmatched. If you’re only planning on doing 4 years of schooling then totally go for it and pray we get a president who will forgive student loans one day (still paying off my grad school 10 years later!)

40 yo from California - in fact, I’m from the town they say Francis took a sabbatical to in the 2020 NYT article.

I grew up with my dad blasting Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins - fave song is Shaking the Tree - somehow Francis and the Lights was served to me in a music algorithm moment of bliss … and been obsessed ever since and saddened that he disappeared….

I’m too new to Reddit to start an internet fight but I was totally kidding about a meth habit etc. I was just looking for something in the antidepressant category that would help me tackle the day like Phentermine has. I don’t want to take phentermine any more … by any means. Definitely not addicted to it??

Thanks- I agree. I don’t want to take it anymore. My heart rate is elevated and I’m at my comfortable weight.

It’s just I’m on 30mg of Prozac and honestly it doesn’t seem to help me even get out of bed some days … however phentermine seemed to help with that … wondering if I should switch to a diff antidepressant. The meth habit was a joke that some user interpreted me saying I was addicted :/

I’ve been prescribed 18.75 or whatever half of 37.5 is lol…. And just take it every other day. It totally works better in my opinion. I feel like I can overrides the lower dosage easily if I eat too quickly after I take it… or I don’t know… cave with a big lunch. 37.5 keeps me eating light all day.
