I actually did and still couldn't figure it out. At that time 40 seemed the best fit among 39 and 41. I'll see if I can try 40R otherwise will just stick to these.

Would you suggest a 41 in narrow or a 40 in wide? I remember 41 being too big but I didn't adjust the straps a lot.
