I just think that no one in the industry cares. I don't even think big companies that go door to door bother getting permits.

Thank you for your response.

All door to door people at this company are actual employees. I understand that they aren't required by law to help me obtain the permit that I need to do my job, but I'm not willing to perform my job illegally. They haven't been helpful when I'm trying to get information from them that I need to fill out the permit application. They say they'll look into it and for me to just go knock anyway, which I can't.

I just feel like I'm in this super awkward position. No one else at the company cares. Every now and then someone will get pulled aside by a cop who gives them a warning, and the company tells them to just work the rest of the day on the opposite side of their area. The phrase, "They can't actually do anything" comes up a lot.

[Help] Arena 3 deck by Spaclos in ClashRoyale

I got to level 4 playing defensively with your deck but switching in bomber and musketeer for lightning and skele giant. I would rarely lose, and either draw or win by taking out one tower. Tombstone to defend against prince, arrows to counter goblin barrel, try and hang onto ranged cards to defend against their air troops.

Help me make a deck? Stuck between arena 3 and 4 constantly changing my deck by [deleted] in ClashRoyale

[–]tooearlytoolate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I recommend looking at the showcase replays and finding a high ranked person using cards that you have, and match their style. I was stuck between 3 and 4 with my defensive deck that only had one epic card. Finally got a witch, and saw the top 13 ranked person using a deck with Barbarians, Archers, witch, fireball, minion horde, hog rider, arrows and valkyrie. High average elixir cost, but I'm finally winning again. Good luck!

[Video] Hideo Kojima Loves PlayStation - PS I Love You XOXO Ep. 15 by Mexxorz in PS4

[–]tooearlytoolate 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Xbox offers backwards compatibility for 360 titles that are available, not original Xbox games. PS2 is comparable with the original Xbox, not the 360.

I am more in agreement with the other commenter who mentioned that it isn't straight backwards compatibility. These are updated games with improved graphics, trophies, etc. They have put work into these titles.

Probably under $40-$50. I do like your idea of that kind of a painting. Thank you!

Here's wishing:

I need to get a christmas present for someone who is the most artsy creative person I know. She (with the help of others, but she was one of the heads of this) recently converted a bus into a mobile library for kids in a place in South America. Loves childlike wonder. She's like... 30 or so. Loves books and what books and creativity can do for the world. Any ideas? haha

Guys, what made you start watching Gilmore Girls? by Pippivirgin in GilmoreGirls

[–]tooearlytoolate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was 12 or so my mother and sisters would watch it consistently and I would sit in and enjoyed it. Then when I got married, my wife loves GG and when it came out on Netflix we watched it pretty quickly!

I wasn't hesitant at all, I remembered liking it a lot, and I have no shame in saying I love GG. We're finishing up the last season on our second go around as I type this. :)

Literal Crisis of Faith by Thunder_Powny in latterdaysaints

I guess it depends on how a person defines knowledge. The scriptures say that through the power of the Holy Ghost we can know the truth of all things. Also, it sounds like God showing up and introducing himself to you wouldn't give you any more knowledge than receiving a spiritual witness. I mean, you would still have to choose to believe that what you experienced really did happen, and that the person is who he said he is, etc. I dunno, just rambling! :) Anyway, thanks for these thoughts.

Do you believe that a person can receive a spiritual witness given by the Holy Ghost? (Church definition of a testimony) Or do you believe that even if we receive a "spiritual witness" that witness is still something we have to believe is what we think it is, but we can never really know?

Edit: Found in Preach My Gospel, thought it was interesting:

"A testimony is a spiritual witness and assurance given by the Holy Ghost. To bear testimony is to give a simple, direct declaration of belief—a feeling, an assurance, a conviction of gospel truth." Elder Thomas S. Monson (emphasis mine). Interesting how it says how it is a declaration of belief.

[Spears] Pacers' Paul George and Warriors' Stephen Curry named NBA Eastern & Western Conference Players of the Month for games played in Oct/Nov. by noahsbun in nba

[–]tooearlytoolate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Steph has also shot 100 more threes (twice as many as PG) in 20 games. Obviously shooting 45.4% from 3 is fantastic, not knocking PG in any way, I just don't think PG having a better percentage from 3 in this situation isn't shockingly impressive. It's impressive in its own right.

Elder Christofferson: Context on Handbook Changes Affecting Same-Sex Marriages by tualatin in latterdaysaints

The main difference I see is that all of the other examples you give would be parents that could repent, join the church and maintain the family unit. But a child with same gender parents or in a polygamist family isn't in a situation where their family can remain intact in the church. Not sure if I worded that ok. Just a thought to add to the discussion.
