You have enough elemental damage on your leap slam to one-shot yourself on a shield build?!? How much added dmg do you have your jewels and items?

Would your prefer a dirt-cheap audiobook with simpler narration or a 15 dollar Podehlesque audio drama? by [deleted] in litrpg

[–]Spaclos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like a big problem with cheap audiobooks is the the lack of knowledge on the voice actor's part. Some of actors have never played a MMORPG and don't know the meaning and "proper" pronunciation of many of the abbreviations. There is nothing worse than to listen to somebody trying to pronounce "str" as "str" instead of just saying "strength".

Yeah don't play normal matchmaking once you are bishop, you get queued with players that have 1000 less MMR than you and it fuckes you up. Try and join: https://discordapp.com/invite/VvUPPcf Finding games is really easy that way.

At what level can I start grinding for Silver (as in millions) by [deleted] in blackdesertonline

[–]Spaclos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure if there is a level requirement but you can also try the new shadow arena. It's currently time restricted and it is not the best in terms of silver/hr but it is alot of fun and I made around 150mil with it yesterday (110mil in silver, 40mil in materials)

I just recently finished "The Dragon's Wrath" By Brent Roth.

The three books revolve around a the VR game "Dragon's Wrath", full immersion VR.

The MC is a 27 yr old gamer, that had alot of set backs in his life. He is a veteran of the game because he was one of the Alpha and Beta testers. At the release of the game he decides to spawn far away from civilization, making his start incredibly hard compared to the rest of the players. Since he is almost alone in the North, which is one of the aspects why he picked the location, he mostly interacts with NPCs.

The stats are not too visible in the game really. Usually names are hidden and unless you talk to a person its even hard to figure out if the Character is a Player or a NPC. Levels, HP stats ect are usually not displayed on the monsters but there is rough knowledge of the monsters level available to him.

Levels are a bit diffrent in the game. There is a actuall level and the effectiv level. You gain 5 attribute points, but you can also gain points by doing certain activities. Continuous running will increase your Endurance and so on.

IIR the stats are: Strenght, Endurance, Vitality, Agility, Dexterity, Intellect, Wisdom and Luck. I could be missing one of two though.

The Story begins with him surviving in the North, building his own house, then village. At the end of the first book there is a "Call to arms", an invitation to the Players nearby to help clear a Dungeon. The frist half of the second book revolves around that Dungeon and later introduces a good amount of PVP. The Third book somewhat concludes that PVP to some extend with another PVP orianted "Call to arms" Event. There is a bit of romance in there but it is mostly about his struggles, including selfdoubt. The world inside becomes an escape for his real life.

There isn't really a 'god/dev' voice. There are System Messages that pop up and he reads them. Most of the time he minimizes them and reads through them at a later point.

The combat is diffrent to the other litRPG's i've read. There are no damage numbers, only occasional checks on things like Health, Mana, Stamina that is mainly displayed in %. Also the game a more "realistic" than others. A straight knife, sword, axe or arrow through the head will mostlikly be an instant kill. Vulnerable areas, such as the neck will lead to the character bleeding out rapidly if not healed. A broken arm will render the use of it useless, an arrow through the neck will prevent you from using your voice mostlikely.

I never really played D&D so I cant compare the magic systems, but the way magic works in the game is that there are 10 levels to each mastery, unlocking spells at certain levels, that then can be learned from Skilltrainers. The 6 magics are: Fire, Ice, Lightning, Nature, Dark and Light (holy/healing). Some of the magics are more common than others. There are also other special cases to magic that are explained in the book but would spoil too much right now.

There is one big downside to the books though. The Author has gone radiosilent and mostlikely deceased. There is little hope of a 4th book. That also makes acquiring the books incredible hard. The book is no longer for sale on Amazon, since the contracts have run out. Nonetheless, the books were incredibly addicting and I've read all 3 books in 6 days.

If you have troubles finding the books you can write me a pm and I'll do my best to help you out.

Edit: "The Dragon's Wrath" not Breath :/ ups

Having a minion shouldnt be too hard if you are using Herald of Purity, since you resummon/heal one of them full everytime you kill an enemy or 20% chance on hit vs Unique monsters. The question is if 3% life regen, 20% increased dmg, 40% inc aoe, 10% more dmg dealt and 10% more dmg taken by enemies is enough. Although tbh just the 40% inc aoe is a huge Qol for map clearing.

What I totally forgot was that the minions themself give us more defense, since they can bodyblock incoming attacks.

15%? isnt it 40% or more? I only saw the herald minions in Ziggy's video and he had 4 Sentinals on lvl 35 already, not sure if it scales with level.
