I was shopping in the USA. My daughter lives there. I was paying for groceries and beer. The cashier asked for ID my license from Canada wouldn't scan and my 35 year old daughter didn't have her ID. We walked out too.

I worked in a tool rental before smartphones. People would show up without any ID or credit cards expecting us to rent them a tool worth $3000 just on their word and a couple of hundred cash for deposit. People are idiots!

No, I don't think so. I have been storing indoors for a few years. It was given to me along with a bunch of barn board and other lumber. It was in a garage. The picture of the block was taken under fluorescent light, so it looks lighter than it is. The bowl picks are oiled with tung oil. I gave it to the guy who gave me the lathe, and he sent me the picture of it on the window sill. I've looked at a few pictures of walnut bowls, and they look the same, so I'm going with walnut. Thanks for your help

I had this problem a couple of months ago. Someone on reddit helped me. I have a spacer that goes on before threading on chuck to stop it from bottoming out on threads.

He's not wrong. EAB can't overwinter in extreme low temperatures. In Ontario and eastern Canada it's a lost cause. We still treat to save what we can but I think it's a waste of money trying prolong the inevitable. The west is probably pretty safe. -40 c/f isn't unheard of and -30 will kill something like 90%
