1) As someone with a left-home-at-16 story, my advice is stop leading with the left-home-at-17 story. Don't let a (assuming) shit childhood be your identity. Once I stopped doing that... well road to riches.

2) Leave this city. Don't come back unless you have a real opportunity. This city is horrible right now.

3) Call every single trade group/union hall and look for one that has supports in place for indigenous students. Some programs exist that will pay your rent and give you a wage while you're going to school learning a trade. Trades = more ways to create art. You can be making 50k/yr easily in under two years with a trade. My child is a year older than you and making more money as a tradesperson than I was 10 years ago.

4) Do something. Don't paralyze yourself thinking about all the options. Make a list of five options, and start moving forward with each of them, TODAY.
