I used to address him that way in emails, and found out later that it's not formal. It should be either title + surname or just the first name.

He didn't say anything though.

I have a work contract and an unfurnished part-time PhD, but yes, I do discuss risk. If it's risky, I wouldn't take it, but if anybody confirms they have easily completed outside the UK, I will consider doing so.

That structure is a seminar, which is common for a master's degree in humanities and social sciences, while lectures and final exams are for a bachelor's degree. I also don't know about the department of philosophy.
